Bah - no turns tonight. [:(] Well, it's given me some more time to prep for this game.
Malaya
My plans are still up in the air & will depend on what the Japanese do, to a large degree. If they try to cut off the peninsula towards the south I'll fight it desparately & then do a Sir Robin if I don't succeed.
I suspect a conventional offensive - in which case I'll stage a fighting withdrawal & try to hold at Singapore as long as possible. If that's the case I'll do my best to hold until at least March 15th, damn the losses.
Burma
Also a little up in the air. I certainly plan on fighting for Mandalay hard, to keep the Burma Road open as long as possible. If the initial Jap offensive against Burma is light, I
may try to hold at Moulmein. I'll decide in a week or two.
India
There's nowhere near enough troops to defend everything, and while there's 4 Indian divs they're only at 29% strength. I have 8 brigades - 6 at 86% strength & 2 at full strength. 4 armored units, also very low strength.
1 Div & 1 of the big tank units are going to each of Madras & Calcutta. Hopefully they'll fill out quickly, as that's where I'll also send the India & SEA HQs. 1 Div also to Bombay & Dacca.
At Vizgapatam I'll form a reserve that can be sent either to the Madras area or the Calcutta/Dacca area should an invasion occur. This will include the 2 100% infantry brigades & 2 of the armored units.
I'll probably turn off replacements on a bunch of units to allow a few to build up strongly but I haven't decided exactly how to do that yet.
I can't cover every base, but the northeast frontier will get 2 brigades to counter-attack any potential paradrops in that area.
Not shown on the map - Karachi & Colombo each get a brigade in defense:
