Major surface action near Ndini--a rock about half way between Lunga and Luganville. Apparently, the Imperial high command objected to the PBY flights coming from there. Spotting the bombardment TF one day out, I dispatched my best FAST (unfortunately no BBs) to intercept. As best I can tell, no ships were lost, but my wrecks have a much shorter distance to sail back to port. There is a large group of enemy TF's east of Rabaul vectoring toward Ndini (spotted by a sub).
