"The only drawback to this bargain-fest appears to be that some of the serial numbers cannot be registered with the Members Area. It says the serial numbers are already taken. I can install them and they run fine but cannot register all of them. Some are OK, some aren't. I don't think that there is anything illegal in these games, at least I hope there isn't."

It looks like they are illegal copies, at least those whose serial numbers cannot be registered due to being already taken.

I was going to buy Harpoon3 yesterday, but after researching it, found this little gem:

No Poon for Whipple for a while.
Kind of a shame as I REALLY love that game series since having purchased the original paper version for the '86 West-Pac.

I own three.. WITP, Normandy, and WPO..

almost bought Carriers at War yesterday.. then read the forums.. and decided against. Then went to Birth of America.. and wasnt sure...

Does anyone have a recommendation on a game with GOOD AI? My schedule is making it increasingly difficult to do PBEM..

thanks

UV
WitP
and the original, GG's Pacific War.

I'm very interested in Harpoon 3 and GG's WaW, but I haven't spent a single minute playing anything but WitP since I got it last December.  [X(]

I think I would enjoy Flashpoint Germany as well.  A long, long time ago I used to play SSI's Reforger '88 and really loved it.

ilovestrategy, I just visited your lovely city and was very impressed. Aside from the annoying bike taxies it was one of the nicest big cities I have ever been to. [&o]
