BOB 1941 - 1 week - TEST AAR

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

The 109's flying 1000's of feet above the bombers begin to get into the action but not before 13 enemy bombers had been shot down for the loss of 3 RAF fighters..............

Within 40 minutes the chaos was nearing it's end. The Hurris had done well in shooting down 27 enemy Heinkels but the high flying 109's then had their day in destroying 15 x Spits and 20ish x Hurris for the loss of 6 of their own.............once my boys were low on fuel and were out of position they were dead meet............

The LW targets for the day were the sectors of Biggin Hill, Kenley, Hornchurch, Debden, North Weald and Duxford.

All suffered damage but are ok.

Losses for the day.......

All in all some noticeable changes in the air combat feel for this compared to the previous test. Feels better IMO. Not sure how much detail we're allowed to go into so I won't for now............

Thanks for the reports

since it is test I can spy

one thing you see is I sent out a few recons before and during the raids, the idea is to be sure one of the old BTR bugs was indeed gone in PBEM, recon had a habit of drawing fighters like flies if they were around a raid, good part is Harley did a good job on that bug :)

that one could really ruin your day as the defender

a good basic day, my 111s took it on the chin, but my 109s were busy letting them be the bait before they stuck (a little late as far as the bombers seen it)

(one thing, in a normal PBEM game, the attacker may tend to try and drag the day out, make the defender wait and chase and wear down his forces, but since we testing, I am just doing my tricks in a short time span, first turn close to half of my forces were rested)

here is the action report after the raids

Hi all,

The RAF reacted differently today.

With the Luftwaffe concentrating on raid plotting east of London the RAF formed up east of Duxford and decided to concentrate on a weaker defended force.

The 110 FB's took a beating but some 109's arrived during the end of the day and ruined the day slightly.

As well as attacking some key airfields during the day the Luftwaffe conducts an extensive night bombing campaign on significant towns, ports across the country and even an attempt at precision bombing of Talbot Copper Works in South Wales.

Just in case, those are not Epro's, they are SKG210

picking on my hit and runners, ahhhhh

my 110s took it on the chin today (hmmmm, seems to be a pattern forming here)

Alum ? heck I thought they were missing the Port I sent them after ? even worse then bad bombing is bad plotting, really need to do with both eyes open

JG 54 had a good day, but almost nobody else can say that

I want to see how day 3 turns out

Greedy Germen Commanders wants to know

I noticed a Viktor Mölders in the German pilots list. Is he related to Werner Mölders?

Roger and Roger

but the Pilots are mainly coming from the OOB for BoB, so if they made it into BoB they got a chance to be alive or still flying in BoB41

which there are more pilots for BoB41 and the new units which do not make it into BoB

Woah what a day.

The LW launched a massive effort today attacking all parts of the British Isles throughout the day.

The day started with 2 waves of enemy raids heading towards the key airfields of Kenley, Biggin Hill, Redhill and Gravesend.
