What's the word?????

John Tiller's Battleground Series is a Hall of Fame lineup of games covering the Civil War and Napoleonic Wars. We've compiled these classic games into two new affordable collections, incorporating updated versions of these legendary titles. Incredible historical gameplay and great value!

I'm just starting to get interested in the Napoleonic Wars. In fact, right now I'm reading my first book on the topic, Adam Zamoyski's "Moscow 1812". The first time these games were released by Talonsoft, I bought "Waterloo" but never played it much. I'm going to jump right in as soon as they're released this time and give it a go. As a huge WWI and WWII fan, it'll be interesting to play battles in this era. Really looking forward to it.

In the meantime, TOAW3, Guns of August and War Plan Orange are keeping me off the streets and out of the bars. [:'(]

Matrix previously mentioned that Age of Sail might be included in one of the Battleground bundles (Napoleonics would make sense). And since David Heath just posted looking for a PDF of the AoS rulebook, I would guess that Matrix is still tying up some loose ends.

As mentioned in another thread it's a safe bet that it will be released before Christmas '07, but exactly when is still up in the air. I would guess later this month.

Ok a little more details to post.  We are adding Age of Sail to the Napoleonic Wars game.  This will be a bonus game and will have no game code changes except making it Vista ready and updating the Direct X.

More details coming soon.

Smart move. Right there you have given many people a reason to buy the new version(s). I never bought Age of Sail, I bought every other TalonSoft BGS game but I somehow lost Waterloo, so I have very good reasons to buy the Matrix release(s).

My plate is full (occasionally, as I have so little free time right now!) playing the other Matrix (Tiller Campaign Series, TOAW), HPS (Vicksburg, Chickamauga, Shiloh, although the last was released before), and Paradox (EU3 & NA) games released this past year, so I can patiently wait for the release of the new Matrix BGS title(s).

Sigh, I wish I had time to try AGEOD's AACW, too. And Matrix might be releasing a Grigsby ACW title later this year, also? YIKES!! Too many games, too many other commitments, too little time ...

Is that going to delay the Civil War Set?

Thanks!

Regarding a delay, it was my understanding that the 2 Battleground sets would be released together and that there was the possibility of a discount if you purchased both sets. Anyway, it seems like we shouldn't have much longer to wait.
