TURN 22
I,m having second thoughs on how to proceed. Rather than fortify the Northern coast of France to protect from invasion from Britian.
I will fortify the south in the mountains facing Italy and free up Army group South for an attack on the British Island herself.
It won't be an easy task but it will be fun...Besides I'm uncomfortable with the idea of pushing further into Europe while leaving England at my back.
The tea drinkers already showed that they cannot be trusted.
-On a side note I'v broken my fighter force up into 2 groups. 1 patroling the north from Paris and one from the south out of Lyon.
A German air formation flying out of Luxembourg hammered my strongest Armor corp with 2 attacks inflincting about 75% casualties on the unit.
Moving the fighter formations to those 2 cities gives me an umbrella of fighter coverage covering the whole of my line in France.
I even had enough action points left after moving the formation to launch an air assalt on Luxembourg destroying 4 German aircraft.

Turn 23
The Germans retreated their air formations out of Luxembourg...Smart move on their part since I was planning a massave air attack on them.
With the Germans out of the Area temporarly I decided to launch an attack on Britian.
My fighters on patrol over Northern France spotted a large stack on London...HMMM. Sound like a logical place for the British air fleet the attacked me a few turns ago.
SO... I attacked![:D]
AAAHHH...Those damn damn ships are shooting down my fighters again. It's like Marseille all over again.[:@]
Well I do have have 2 large Naval fleets almost ready to deploy north. Naval bombardment worked in Marseille...I see no reason it wouldn't work on London.

TURN 23
With Geneva in spanish control and the lines almost to my objectives, I begin fortifying the south.
I will build cheap defensive units and fortifcations all under a fighter umbrella and possibly even backed by artillery.
The Italins won't be breaking through this line.

TURN 24
I have to give the AI one thing. Everytime they bring in a new formation of aircraft it is pretty large and already has some experence under its belt.
They don't send them in piece meal and green.[Ads to chalenge.[;)]]

Turn 24
HMMM...
Bad roll of the dice on this one.
12 experienced fighter II's versus 8 fighters and 3 dive bombers.
I'd say them Italians ate their wheaties this morning.

Turn 24
On the ground there's not much going.
I'm continue to fortify the southern line in preparation of Army group South's withdraw to England.
I did a little deep air recon of the north in search of enemy aircraft and got a great view of what looks like France's last stand against Germany.

Fun AAR, thanks ![;)]
Yet it makes me even more convinced that Cruisers are ridiculously overpowered as AA weapons...[8|]

get some levelbombers. They are nice when it comes to cutting off supply by destroying ports and bridges

A recon mission over Britian shows how powerful they are.
All them turns of just collecting PP's and not launching any major landings into the mainland has left them with a large and powerful military.
I will need to launch a large air and naval bombardment campaigne against the brits to soften them up before I land any ground troops. I like Ande's idea of incorperating some level bombers into the mix.
maintianing air supremacy over Italy,France,Germany, and Britain all at the same time is getting a little chalenging, but I believe I will be able to spare some PP for level bombers.

TURN 26
-In the south I launch an air attack against Italy in Venice again. They lose 3 fighters and 2 bombers. I lose 1 fighter.
- In the North Army group south is begining to form up. The rallying point for the whole invasion force will be western France.
Transports are already under construction with about a dozen already complete..
HMMM...
-I begin to bombard Britian...My ships hit London and I launch an air strike with tacbombers and fighters against the Infantry just South of London.
The air strike was intended to draw out English fighters without having to bomb London itself. I destroyed 5 English fighters.[:D]

Check this out. Britian launches a total of 3 air strikes against my forces.
Two against my naval task force that just bombarded London, and one against this Infantry corp. My fighters intercepted.[;)]

What do you know, I have been missing all of this. All this time I never even noticed the AAR forum, maybe I am blind. I have some good stuff to look through here, no doubt [:)]

OK...TURN 27
I continue to pound the Brits with long range attacks.
Also I got smart after last turn and moved both my naval fleets south of London to bombard from. Now they are under my fighter umbrella.[not sure why I didn't think of that last turn?[&:]]

In the South my defensive line is not entirely up to strength yet, but the Italians seem a little distacted by the Germans.
HMMM...looks pretty safe for moment.

Did you fortify your lines ? As a matter of fact you are pretty safe against the AI if you have only a small front and manage to fortify a line, it will launch suicide attacks and then stop.

The AI hasn't done much more than the occasional probing attack. They seem very busy blowing each other up at the moment.
France is still in the fight and going at it with Germany who is going at it with Italy. Germany seems to be getting the better of both.
Germany looks to be in danger of colapse in the East though.
-Along the front my units are well entrenched.
In the south along the mountains it is about 200, and in the recently built fortresses in the center it is starting to exceed 200.
Behind the river it's only about 80, but its's behind a river.

Here's a look at the total kills so far. Looks like I have a total kill ratio in the air of 2.6:1 [:D]
