Enjoy your honeymoon, mon President.

News Flash: Russia has reluctantly been forced to join the hostilities. Bridges blown, disrupting esential trade? Tsk, tsk. Newsreels will be made available by "next turn," which will be turn 7 I think?

Btw, who's had the turn the last few days?

Go Giants !

The French President comes back from his honeymoon just to find out that the Spanish aggressors used that well earned break for a treachery attack. The answer of the French forces won't wait for a long time. The Spanish army will have to pay a high price for every inch a French ground.

Franco wishes me to report that despite a well fought resistance, Tunisia has been taken by the Spanish.

Multi-turn naval bombardment was able to weaken the defenses enough for ground troops to force the withdrawal of the french forces.

The French president is very busy with his new love, so that there is not much time for leading the forces. But soon the joneymoon will be over and then Spain will be removed from the map rapidly [:@]

The french navy, while bombarding the sunbathers in barcelona, was taken by surprise by the spanish fleet and lost with all hands.

Stay tuned for an important broadcast from Radio Free Scandinavia

"A spokesman for the Royal Scandinavian Armed Forces announced this morning that a flight of Russian Fighter Aircraft violated Scandinavian airspace. Their destination and intention remain unkown but experts speculate that it is unlikely that the incursion was accidental as it was far from the combat area near the polish border where such confusion might be understandable. The aircraft ignored repeated warnings to turn back and SAAB interceptors were finaly forced to engage and shoot down the offending craft.

In a public statement following the incident the Foriegn Minister indicated that while Scandinavia harbors no ill intent toward the Kremlin, it will defend it's borders and airspace from unwanted incursion.

In other news, streams of refugees continue to cross the border into the Baltic states in an effort to escape the confused and heavy fighting in Poland, Germany and Hungary. Local humantarian services have been strained to the breaking point due to this vast influx....and millitary police units have been dispatched to the border in an effort to bring the situation under control."

The Tsar begs Scandinavia's Pardon. The single Russian aircraft was merely checking to see if the Scandinavian Subs seen just outside St. Petersburg were in need of assistance --- we didn't expect your Intercept Setting to be set to such a hair trigger.

Given our hitherto peaceable neighborly relations, the Tsar is in favor of a Moratorium on Scouting in the Gulf of Finland. By planes and Subs.
