More Screenshots at www.wargamer.com
The Wargamer just posted some new screenshots and as far as I know they are also working on a preview feature, hopefully for next week.

Perhaps a detailed preview is waiting for the game release?

Apologies for daring to insinuate that Matrix would publish a title with anything as Hollywood as firing on the move...

Hehe - you are certainly forgiven. And hey, you _can_ fire on the move in Panzer Command, you're just not likely to hit very often. I admit, the video was definitely a very short Hollywood-style teaser that in hindsight could generate some doubts about historicity, but the feature list and screenshots should show you all the historical game elements. We were just "having fun" with that short movie.

My very first comment after seeing the trailer was you guys weren't worth looking at. That in a Kharkov 1942 game it would be tough to have Panthers that didn't go into combat until 5 July 1943. Instead what I think you guys don't do well is name your games.
Kharkov 1942 with all versions of the Panther and T-34/85's? Whatever...then I get told that you have a campaign with Panthers in it. That it's Kursk Nothern 1943 and it's 3 battles. Panthers weren't on the northern shoulder at Kursk. The 39th Panzer Brigade was attached to Grossdeutshland Panzer Division until 14 July 1943. On the southern shoulder.
Decided to look at the demo for WS anyway....we'll talk about your historical accuracy later....[:-]

If a platypus is an animal designed by commitee you kinda get what happened to PC. It starts out as an historical campaign game and out of the blue someone makes a Panther. For future use, xmls were included for later war units too. Someone makes more 3D models. Next thing you know we gotta make battles to showcase some stuff.

the Kharkov 42 campaign doesn't use anything other than historically accurate TOE. There are no Panthers in the German and Soviet campaigns. There are no T34-85s either.
The game comes with Panthers due to extra work put in by the test and design team to further improve the game. They aren't part of the Kharkov 42 campaign, though.

Yeah, in hindsight I should have released a different video first. Amazing how many assumptions got made over a brief snippet of video.

We modders aren't limited by scenario or campaign guidelines. We build what we think are cool models. Then, as you say, we look for scenarios where we can use them. The Kursk scenarios are those I found where I can use my cool Ferdinand model and the SU-122, SU-152 and T-34 Model 1943.ORIGINAL: Mad Russian

The guy that did and compressed the screenshots for the "Feature List" news on The Wargamer should be keelhauled. My god that have to be the worst compressed screenshots I have ever seen in a preview/review. It is amazing you can still notice something among all that color noise and artifacts [8|].

I was noticing that too. Be assured everyone that the game itself does look better than that.
I'll post some unadulterated screenshots here this week as well.

Those tanks and stuff need some more artwork. They look too well like unpainted. Kinda drab. Where's the stars and DETAIL on them? They look like something I used to get out of the 5 and dime store in those army bags of trucks and soldiers etc. Cmon give em some color. I like color and detail if you're going to do this stuff 3D.
You guys put a LOT more color and detail into your Tin Soldiers series. Why so drab lookin now?

Superb!
Personally not bothered about slogans and insignia, especially if doing them delays adding additional models.
