Marshall, I wouldn't care much if the two-capital thing were dropped. Yes, it would be a game change, but it may be necessary. If so, however, the question of which one should remain as the capital comes up. I don't have an answer for that. But, the other one should be a "prize" (i.e. control a large amount of money and manpower).

Now, if you opt for this, you may want to make it a "start of game only" choice. The reason is that bids for Russia should be lower with only one capital. Not much, but some.

I don't understand why it would be impossible to code, i.e. not that Russia has two capitals within the game from some sort of data structure standpoint, but rather to code a special provision that provides the EFFECTS of capital occupation if St. Petersburg is occupied.

Well, that makes two of us.

I also don't understand why it seems that Matrix is choosing to, again, go with the voice of the minority on many of these topics instead of the voice of the majority. It boggles my brain.

Geez.  This bug has been reported and is on the list.  Marshall has acknowledged it, indicated he'll look at it, and will figure out a workaround if he can.  He has not stated it is impossible to code, and it should not be.  Give him time to figure it out.

Why continue to argue about it now?  [8|]

Well, what Marshall stated was that this is not going to be "fixed" but maybe we can come up with a workaround.

A workaround (quick fix) is not a real solution to a problem, sorry.

yeah.. this must be pretty complicated to code:
if(St- petersburg is occupied OR Moscow is occupied) then you earn 0$ ...
<= Sorry Marshall this was crappy post.
What I meant is that even if you can not handle two capitals for a major power, you can correct the amount earned after ward by for example adding a one shot expense for Russia Moscow being occupied and maintaining the restriction on St-Petersburg.

Actually, he did indeed say that, or close to it. Not "impossible", but very difficult. He said approximately the same thing as the reason there are no "two-nation" free states, too (Denmark/Norway).

Another point about bringing a host editor in.
Host could in this case, edit and remove income, and modify pps.

I'm all for a host editor, but if the Host has to continously edit everything then why are we all bothering to use EiANW at all? Why not just use the free cyberboard or vassal, both of which look (at the moment) like more appealing options AND you get to save $$.
