Celebrations broke out at home again upon reports that Minsk became the first Soviet city to fall to our advancing troops, extracting a piece of revenge for the German soil conquered by the invaders. Panzer losses continue to run high, but the Soviet army appears to be recruiting just about anyone able to carry a rifle. The numbers of young men and women in the front lines is amazing to our soldiers.

The red army is succesfully fooled the fascist by using children and women in the army. The overconfident germans will have their hopes shattered by the divisions filled with battle hardened men in the winter. Some more tiny-tiny front shortening again:(

2 of our fine La5FN units protected our front shortenings and were almost completely destroyed, but not before shotting down hundreds of enemy planes. Our main air forces still waiting for the decesive moment to hit back. A german infantry korps were found without air cover in the north front. It was bombed without mercy by the frustrated soviet air force.

The retreating enemy, invaders of out country but now retreating in near panic, lost another army to a pincer attack in the past week. It appears that the Red Army soldiers, knowing the fate of others, are not prepared to fight hard for their country anymore. The time is ripe for a concentrated attack through the central area on Moscow, seat of the Bolsheviks.

The situation in the center is somewhat concerning, but the enemy seems to celabrate victory to early. In the south our armies went on the counterattack against a bridgeahead of panzers just south of Zhitomir. The eastest panzer korps of this bridghead (19th) had outrun the air cover. The red air force bombed the panzer's to dust. From the glorious panzer korps less then 50 panzer showed up for the final fight for their life:) Of course another panzer korps guarding the 19th supply lines was forced to retreat before:) So the 19th panzer korps surrendered as so many panzer korps invading the motherland before.

Murmurs of discontent are being heard back home due to the heavy losses, especially in the panzertruppen, on the eastern front. As a result, the troops are slowing down their advance while the destroyed panzer divisions are being rebuilt, and the frontline forces are brought up to strength. Also, the Luftwaffe was scolded for allowing these important ground forces to not have air cover against the hordes of enemy planes.

We prepared our defences further for the coming fascist offense. We made some more brilliant front shortenings. The red air force tried a sneak attack against a northern german airfield. It was a great succes for the defending german fighters (-20 soviet bombers)

20 soviet bombers perished this week.

Action was limited this week, except for a brilliant deep penetration by the SS Panzer Korps in the south, which extracted some revenge on an army for the panzer korps destroyed by the enemy forces in the area. Also, 3 groups of He177s were sent to attack the Leningrad area airfields, which had gotten complacent due to the complete lack of action and threats in the north. 150 planes were destroyed on the ground there.

One day those SS guys will make a mistake... After that day they will suffer for all the sins they commited against the motherland. They will not be handled as nicely as the other captured panzer korpses are in the workers paradise! We prepared our SS catching trap further this week.

In the central front, a panzer corps thrust to Mogilev and then withdrew back toward the front lines to prepare for an enemy counterattack. Losses on both sides were heavy, but the totals were lost in a plane crash from the front.

After the enemy forces reoccupied Mogilev, our panzers struck again on each side of the city, almost surrounding it. The city should fall next week, if the forces holding it do not retreat. The rest of the front was quiet except for a bombing raid on the Sevastopol artillery factory again.

Peasants of the soviet army keep on defending, retreating, defending, retreating... There is no hope of victory but the fear from the officers is far greater then the fear from the enemy. May the winter come early and harsh!

The Wehrmacht continued its drive into Mother Russia, freeing many people from their evil masters in Moscow. Resistance in most areas is nearly non-existent, except for a strong force that blocked an encirclement attempt around Zhitomir in the south.

This week Stalin held a great radio speach which upped the morale of the red army considerably. He told the soliders that more then 5000 soviet fighters will join the fights in the winter, which will see the german army chased out of the Sovietunion.

The Luftwaffe, upon hearing reports of thousands of Red Air Force planes prepared for battle in the far east of Russia, flatly states such numbers are impossibly high, but that whatever the true number, new secret weapons in the air battle will keep air superiority for the entire war.

Meanwhile, punishing ground attacks were launched at the enemy forces that are in full retreat, causing heavy losses, but no decisive successes.

As the germans marsh into our gigantic trap, tank armies are being railed heavily camouflaged (?) each night to the starting points of the counteroffense. Thousands of aircraft with higly trained pilots await orders to wrestle the air suppriority from the enemy in the decisive area. The withdrawal has been ended, the germans will pay for their crimes this winter. All we need is some good old blizzard! As first sign of the more determined defence before striking back, a german infantry korps was chased away from the plains near Odessa.

The first snows of winter 1943 have fallen, after the rains of the prior week. OKH had hoped to have caused critical damage to the Soviet forces this year, but with the advent of bad weather, this has not happened. Another year of war is being planned for.

A poorly defended airfield near Moscow was hit by long range bombers, destroying hundreds of enemy bombers prepared to hit our forces. Otherwise, the week's action was made up of small battles and closing with the enemy lines.

The red army struck back at 2 places, and forced the enemy ajecent Odessa to retreat again. Some bombers were lost last week to surprise german bombings, but luckily our fighter fleet is intact.

The battle is up and running again, with only limited action across the front. Kiev was attacked from 4 directions but the attack failed with the loss of many tanks. Only minor secondary attacks were launched in an attempt to open the land bridge near Smolensk to further operations.
