Game crashes after movie intro

How exactly and what exactly am I checking and how would I know if they are blocked? Thank you in advance for your help as well.

Any of the files you downloaded for the game, ie, the initial file and the 1.01 update.

I doubt this is the issue, but I know that at some point over the last year, this started casuing me some trouble occasionally.

I tried to attach a screenshot. Like I said, this is just shot in the dark. Hate to see someone not get to enjoy this game!

This might be the most ignorant post anyone has ever posted here, but; I somehow got the game to load. Here is the ignorant part, I have no idea how. I ran another DX Diagnostic test and after re-reading the entire thread again, updated Direct X as PoE suggests on the first page, went back in, checked all of my drivers, fiddled a bit with the graphics hardware and Viola!!! It works. Ignorance really is bliss!! I want to thank all of you for your effort on my behalf, I sincerley appreciate it.
