By the way, I haven't noticed a lot of bridge busting on the part of the PO. A lot of Soviet units are sitting on bridges and have the opportunity to bust it but haven't ( yet ). And as I expected a lot of the Soviet units moved towards the Axis lines and there was an attack or two. I expect more attacks as more Soviet units are adjacent to my Axis units.

So with the 32 reinforcements added to those existing at the start of turn 2....that gives 657. Subtracting the number of units existing at the end of turn 2 (which is 572) gives 85 units lost in turn 2 by the Soviets:

I've discovered that I can't run willy nilly to the east as fast as possible.  I have to form some kind of front line to prevent holes that the Soviets can run units through.  These guys aren't running for their lives to the east; they are actually coming at me with blood in their eyes.  I've had several Panzer recon units punished severly for being out in front of the pack with nobody around to help out.  Being the tip of the spear has its disadvantages.  I have visions of not having to cover as much ground as fast as possible but just standing around waiting for Soviet units to show up to be destroyed.  But I shall press on toward the east anyway just from habit as much as anything else.  This really is a different style of play from the stock FITE and a real opponent.  Not worse so much as different.  The PO is playing as if it were an unorthodox newbie and is rushing units at me a few at a time so far.  It's only turn 2 and not much in the way of strategic considerations can be gleaned from the play so far but it's shaping up to be a series of small battles instead of major length front lines opposing each other.
