But most importantly I don't blame GFI.ru for that. I fully blame the retards at Strategy First for being such short sighted that they pulled the plug on this project.
I've been nosing around some of HG files and found all sorts of references to features currently not implemented in the game, such as jump (remember complaining that we couldn't jump fences?), night skills, electronics, etc... So in my opinion this project was planning to include all the features that we are now missing and probably even more.
Who's fault is it that those features are not fully implemented? Not GFI because they clearly had them planned from what we see on the files, and certainly not Matrixgames since they only took this project after it was abandoned and already published in Russia. The fault is entirely assigned to Strategy First, which very very sadly are the legit owners of the JA franchise... (yes, I'm one of those that will never forget that SF was planning to put Smart Pause Mode on JA [:@] )
Fortunately for all of us GFI miracously managed to adapt the game so it could ilude the franchise and present us JA fans with a JA sequel, that despite being far from perfect it is still the only game that resembles to JA lauched since 1999 JA2.
Also fortunately for us, Matrixgames not only had the courage to risk publishing this game but also offers us an amazing costumer support.
HG as it is now it's a very fun game and won't disapoint JA fans, but most important, the game is fully tweekable and having Matrixgames associated with it certainly gives us some garantee that the game will keep getting better, and who knows if this game suceeds we might even get more cookies out of it, like a game editor or even an expansion pack with all those unfinished features, more sectors, more mercs, more quests, more items, etc
