While the French government sunbathes in the former colonies, the majority of the French population has to endure the inconvenience of a foreign occupation with all its associated discomforts. Even though the French had a second chance at surrender, the French have yet again underlined their decision to fight on.
The German operation in France is now a mop up operation. There is scattered French defenses at some of the remaining key cities. The Yugoslav campaign is slow but steady. Axis planners are busy preparing for the next major campaign.
