Troop evacuation insight

My initial thoughts were as follows:
  • You can only load LCUs onto ships if they are in strat mode.
  • You can only set LCUs to strat mode if they are on a major road, rail hex or base.
  • Ergo you cannot load LCUs from any hex other than those above.

Then I discovered amphibious which does allow you to load troops in combat mode.

You dont want to use fast transports for evac (at least not as of right now). This has been one of my on-going fights with the naval team. They load horribly slow at a non-base or a low level base. As it stands, you are better off sending in an AP to evac, or at least by my experience. Maybe others have seen different results (I havent played a lot since it went gold). I actually started an 1 player game with the Japs as the AI (killing time between WitP turns) and have found a few things worth reporting in this also.

The fast transport mission in general seems to be completely nerfed, to the detriment of the game I think.
