You killed 2 out of 4 actualy one is imobalized with it arse facing yoru tanks, sure you will find it this turn.
The north is lost, nothing can be done about it. It is aprent now that the enemy force is almost entirely tanks. The few infintry I have seen have mainly been there just to deal with what is left over.
My few panzers near the south hill make a desperte struggle to hold back a wave of soviet tanks. The southern and northern vh's are starting to be over run by soviet tanks and a couple inf here and there.
Enemy force complement as seen so far goes a little something like this:
T34's - to many to have anticipated (probly like 50)
Heavy tanks - maby 6 total
Flame tanks - probly 2 or 3 pits
AA trucks - a company worth
AT trucks - a company or 2 (if I recall a lot come in a bundle)
Inf/calvery - few and far between probly about 3 companies worth (maby more maby less hard to say).
And of cource artillery in the heavy 120 morter kind + a few (maby 4? actual big AT guns.
Granted the battle is not over (5 turns to go) however I can make the following observations. The german strategy was sound, once the enemy refused to engage I tried to push the fight as far from the middle (vh areas) as possible without rushing headfirst into his lines.
This worked well and probly would have worked had it not been for my under-estimation of enemy tank numbers and also only haveing 4 prime movers to my name to move my 88's into position in time.
Due to my lack of proper support vehicals when the battle was pushed so far foward it went right out of my artillery range and I was forced to fight without proper 88/Arty support.
Add to that my overly cautious artillery placement which rendered half my artillery out of amo by mid game due to my inability to rearm them.
I have learned many things and am confident when the rematch comes around (and there will be one!

) I will be able to much better perform with such a large force. Also it will have more then the pittly 28 turns (far to short for these sized forces) which will allow for more cautious movements and decision making.
Lastly as everyone knows soviet artillery is painfull those 120mm morters can tear your lines to shreads and keep doing it indefinitly. For instace the north being the one place I had planed on making my push was cut to shreads in one turn by a massive 120mm bombardment. I am still not totaly sure how to minimize their effectivness however I have some ideas in mind.
