Here's a quick cut-n-paste to get someone started finishing out the rail graphics above.

1. Tiles_railroad.bmp (cut -n- pasted to overwrite the unfinished pieces)
2. Tiles_damaged_railroad.BMP (using the idea above, swapped white rails for red)
3. Tiles_railroad-numbered.bmp (The last file is in case there are misalignments. If any crop up, replace Tiles_railroad with it to easily see which piece is causing offense.)

Please share any improvements or problems...

Some people are having problems downloading so here they are named as gif's (due to filesizes, spread over the next few posts). These should be renamed to bmp's...

Great job E!!
62 could do without the two legs sticking out on the right, it's a curve like 41

red is indeed quite dark, I tried a lighter color but it's still not that clear

That one's on you... it matches the bmp you provided! *grin* (and the one I was using prior to this)

Try this one... but be warned, this one has been "trimmed" a bit and is thus more susceptible to misalignments/broken links. If that's that case, you can cut & paste 62 from this one over to the first one.

LOL... I just looked and the original was that way as well (legged).

How about yellow? (incorrect psychologically, but it may show up better) Or some other bright colour?

Yes the legged curve seems to be apparent in many rail mods

Maybe replacing the black with red may be the most visible

Thanks all for your help!!!

Silvanski, what is that graphic mod that you're using? That screenshot looks really nice with those yellow borders and the big red arrow, and the terrain is nice too!

All the pieces were there... I just cut-n-pasted (and occasionally flipped). Took about 15-20 mins. The original author did all the work!

My graphics are a mix of some homework and things I found here and there. The red arrow comes from Damezzi's mod, there's some stuff from JMass etc etc
I converte all frames and backgrounds to greyscale...
I'll see if I can put a zip on my site

Need help! I overwrote graphics in altgraphics folder. Graphics are all blank in altgraphics folder. Playing a Ardennes scenario which still has the original art in upper right box. Do I need to overwitr in the normal graphics folder for this utility to take effect? What am I missing?

Look for scenario-specific subdirectories in your (normal) graphics directory. You can either rename the offending files (recommended), overwrite or delete them.

Again, renaming the files is recommended in case that is not the problem (so they can be easily restored).

Great stuff. This is much better than the mish-mash of mods I've been using up to now.

@E
Where can I get your graphics for the unit box?
This minimized but still recognizable info looks highly useful.

Sorry, missed this post! The unit box graphics have changed since then and now look different (see below). If that's alright, send me your real email address via PM. (I don't file attach to mail forwarders like yahoo, gmail, etc).

I realized the first post's example was a bit misleading... the terrain hexes are still there, but only for non-open country...
