Nates are joke, build Oscar 1c factorys, 100 will be enough, for example one in Harbin can be expanded to 52 planes. Dont be affraid to spend to much supply and HI points on expansions.

I think I have found optimal numbers of planes wich Japan Industry can produce, if you have interest you can check my AAR. My HI pool is 330 000, supply is 2 500 000, 10 000 000 resources, 2 000 000 oil and fuel.

Hello CarnageINC, thanks for your question and visit [:)]
the primary Army fighter until Ki-44 will be Ki-43Ic. My rate is 59 Ki-43/monthly now, and this is growing by 1 daily. My target is 1.000 Ki-43Ic IJA Fighters built for 1942 exercise. I am increasing factories to harmonize with Ha-35 engine (needed for A6M2 too). My target is increase production of Ki-43I-c at Maebashi factory until 70 monthly. When ready, i will await for conversion of Harbin Ki-27b factory to Ki-43Ic about April 1942 to increase newly my Ki-43Ic production until 120 Ki-43Ic monthly.
About Ki-27b like warhorse of IJA, I lost 56 in A2A with another 32 by operational losses (36% losses by operational causes). They are fighting vs Buffaloes at Malaya, I-15s at China and P-40s at Phillipine Islands. Certainly they have a worst rate of A2A kills that my Ki-43s (all models) in any front. However my rate of reemplacement let my to upgrade 2 Daitais at Malaya (primary) and 1 chutai at China (2nd priority with H81A3 threat)already. At Phillipines, with 74 P-40s downed reported, the air supperiority is near to absolute and I will need only few fighters and Ki-27b can do the job.
For the other hands we are playing with PDU OFF to be nearby for historical accurate reasons, several Daitais/Sentais equiped with Ki-27b have not option to be upgrade to Ki-43Ia/b/c and I must to wait to Ki-43IIb to upgrade them.

Any suggest or comment will be wellcomed !
Best wishes

Hello Swenslim, thanks for your comments, suggestions and visit ! [:)] I´m following your AAR, of course !.
Part of my answer is in the former post answering to CarnageINC, we are playing with PDU OFF, them several Daitais/Sentais can not be upgraded to Ki-43Ia/b/c, I must to wait to Ki-43IIb. For the other hands, I have planned all my aircraft/engine production for 1942 exercise thinking in the main target: FIGHTERS, FIGHTERS, FIGHTERS !!... I must to save H.I.points whenever I can.
At January 6th, 1942, I have 76.000 H.I points at pool. 3,380.000 supplies, 7.300.000 resources and 3,000.000 oil /4,100.000 fuel in my pools. I am very impressed with your 10,000.000 resources !!.

Like I comment in former post my main target is save enough H.I.points for my 1.942 production planning. I have in my pools 201 Kotobuki engines, if I produce enought Ki-27b for reemplacements in the Daitais with no upgrade possible until Ki-43IIb, for new units (63 will be needed) and for the Daitais at Manchukuo and Home Island for training duties, I can save many H.I.points in engines.

AT my 1942 planning Harbin will be upgraded to Ki-43Ic (my warhorse for IJA until Ki-44/Ki-61 will be at service), but I would like to spent all my Kotobukis at pool until began with this changes. Remember, I am playing with PDU OFF and I certainly need reemplacements for my Ki-27bs Daitais/Sentais.

Any suggestions or criticism will be wellcomed !
Best wishes (and long live to the Emperor !!)

I thought so too, but after I recently started a PBEM as Japan I found that leaving the main Nate plant unconverted was a wise move, because so far air combat was very intense and converted/expanded factories need time to repair, while squadrons demand new planes right now. Also, because Japan already has a stockpile of otherwise-useless engines for Nates, they are practically HI-free. And I suppose you meant Oscar Ic.

Hi FatR, thanks for post and comments, you are wellcomed.
I´m agree, and thinking PDU off, I need Ki-27b for my Daitais/Sentais with no upgrade path until Ki-43IIb. for the other hands Kotobuki are useless if not used in Ki-27b airframes, then I can save many HIs (near 3.600) producing Ki-27b from Dec 41 to March 42.
Best wishes
