May 1940 Japan turn

The Soviets cut off Mukden but I am able to re-open the line.  I wipe out a Soviet infantry and artillery unit.  The Germans attacked this turn so I am pretty confident I will get a surrender.  If not, I will move towards Irkutsk and Vladivostock.  I will have to attack China next turn or China will get a production boost.

You are fast. I finished my turn wery late yestrday ( or early today, LOL ) and I didnot have a time to make a comment. Yes Germany attack Russia. Opening was not good. Su destroyed bridges and deploy his units fantasticly. I didnot inflict much demage. I only menage to sink Black see fleet so the soft belly of Su is open now. I wonder how well will Su defend this area.
Attack on Finland side went relativly well and I take 1 fort. Didnot have a courage to attack second one. I lost few planes in attack on SU subs and fortifications. Now my armies are redy to advance, but demolished bridges will be a problem. I will tray my best to counter this.
Second attack on London - went well but I was suprised to see that by the 7 round all west soldiers were either dead or retreted and 1 costal battery remains in a fight. It survived for a 3 battle round and save the city. BAd luck for me. I hate thouse costal baterries. They inflict more demage to german soldiers than all other west units.
And Italians ( with little help from Germans ) menage to take Cairo. Suez will fall nex turn. So a link betwen Japan and Germany may be established.
No sign of partisan activity anywere in europe for last few turns. This is great.

Regarding garrisons, from the Briefing:

Partisan levels DECREASE to Very Low when
-Yugoslavia: When GE keeps at least 100 pp in Yugoslavia after invasion
When GE keeps at least 150 pp in Yugoslavia if GE also at war with SU
-Greece: When GE keeps at least 100 pp in Greece IF West lacks 100pp in Greece or IT
-China: When JA keeps at least 1100 pp in China (& all cities adequately garrisoned)

In Yugoslavia, there is no single city need for a garrison of 20 or 40, like for SU and China, it's just 100/150 in the whole country.

Turn to Axis.

Soviets at War on two fronts!!! That's bad so we offer peace to Japs. This costs but OK for now. BUT see picture below... something wrong with restore borders event.
More bridges blown in front of advancing Germans.
Fins hammered and pushed back.
Production now at 100% - that's good. Unfortunately Omsk production also at 100% instead of 125% like SS production - that's bad.

Chinese waiting quietly for hammer to fall.

Turks make it to the outskirts of Mosul! Attack next round.....[>:]

Second turn in Russa went wrong. Fight around Kiew was hard but we push SU back. Than I executed 3 way attack on the city and was repulsed with heawy loses. Advance tovard Smolensk is slowed becouse of demolished bridges. Anather armoured Su unit decimated by Luftwafe.
In North Su ships sunked and our subs retreated. But I completly forgot to give orders on Finland border. We didnot even use our artilery. We didnot send reinforcements ( and we sink the Su fleet wich was blocking the city ). RL sometimes may mess with At. GRRRRR. Finland will be in jepordise becouse of this mistake.
Maikof bombed. Andther Su production center far east also bombed.
London finaly taken. Cairo taken. Suez taken. Italians run in to ambush near Cairo ( dont know the name of the city ).
And that is all.

Montreal, June 40
Report:

After Cairo and Suez have been captured by the enemy, only Port Said was held. Several enemies were killed in an ambush. Due to reduced forces and lacking supply General Wavell decided to evacuate Port Said.
In Kuwait 7th army reports that Italien units are approaching from Bagdad. Air attacks caused heavy losses for the Italiens.

Canadien forces are still building up and prepare for the fight for the Atlantic. Enemy subs seem to have vanished. But as some supply transports did not arrive at destination some attcks on oversea supply lines must have taken place.

New Zealand recon spotted Japanese subs near the coastline.

June 1941. Turn to Axis.

Russians blowing bridges like mad... well... Russians. Hammered the Fins who seemed to be having a picnic just north of Lennigrad.
Every man, woman, and child is being given a sharp stick to go fight the Axis hoard. Omsk production now at 125%.

China... the hemmer finally fell this month... kinda velvety though. Managed to "capture" Kunming, but lots of Japs heading that way.
Discovered a Jap LB base! ACK!

Turkish assult on Mosul is an epic fail![:'(] Turks now reduced to coastal lookouts for Russians.[>:]

August turn sent.  I launched Pacific blitz this turn with mostly good results:

- Sunk carriers in San Francisco
- Sunk BB in Pearl
- Captured Panama canal (supply will be tough though)
- Captured Phillipines
- Captured 2 Borneo supply hexes
- Did a bunch of small landing on unoccupied ports

One dissapointment was that my invasion of Jakarta was repulsed.  I also found India had enough air defense to prevent an easy knock out.  My focus in the next few turns will be to capture the resource hexes in Java and Malaysia.  Battle in China is slow.  Chinese are falling back I am cautious I do not make my line vulnerable to partisan attacks.

Nice to see that Japan opening went well. Bravo to Tom.
In Russia things inproved rapidly. After initial slow advance we did few fast moves. So we close to Moscov, Leningrad is in jepardise and landing near Maikof finaly get a port. Forces in Finland are decimated becouse of my mistakes and becouse of great playing from my oponent. I would like to say that Su first few turns play so well that I was not able to advance ( becouse of demolished bridges ) and was not able to inflict any significant casulties ( becouse of exelent odeployment of Su troops ). So all in all Su did exelent job.
West DD group ( 10-14 ships, not sure ) spoted and sinked for a loss of 1 wulf pack of 6. England and Europe completly secured. Attack on London last for 3 turns and with 200% bonus. 1st attack was a disaster second was even and third was a win. So See lion is not passible without enought artilery. Air attacks on costal batteries in this version of the game is complete waste of planes, so I dont sugest anybady to tray that.
Also - With Suez taken Germany is in position tu suplay Japan, and that may be of great help since Japan is in constant need of suplays.

Did suplay reach Tokio? Two turns I send suplay and didnt recive any replay? Is there any loses to amount I send ( 2000 suplay, 12 PP ).
Attack on Kuwait was repulsed. Having partisan uprising in Su, but I supress almost all of them. Leningrad almost completly surounded. Limited advance toward Moscov executed.

Hard times for western allies.

Singapore and Malaya will fall soon. Borneo has already fallen. Japanese subs operating in Indian Ocean. An attack of 4 destroyers that spotted 2 Japanese subs had cost 3 destroyers, while the subs escaped.

Axis forces have launched a first attack on Kuwait. High losses for Axis, but they are in superior position and it is not sure that Kuwait will stand another attack. German subs have full control of Atlantic Ocean, so Canada is hardly able to join any action.
