The wonderful thing about a 2v2 is that as long as a bit of role playing is involved and as long as
the command distribution is somewhat similar to WWII ther will be discussions that at least partly resemble the real
war.

Damn I love that game...

Mike and I definitely have different viewpoints and play styles. However, I consider him to be a highly competent player and I am glad to have him on my team.

I did tell him that he needs to get more onboard with the Army-Navy roleplay clashes. I don't want him to take it personally. In fact, I hope that the navy will start speaking their mind when they feel the Army is not pulling its weight. These are the things that make multiplayer games fun.

That said, the Army does indeed blame the navy for the loss of the troops being transported on the ships that were sunk by American carrier aircraft. The only salve in the wound is that the troops lost were those on the way to support Navy operations, but the Army does still regret the needless loss nonetheless. The Army thinks that the Navy needs to get their ships in position to protect the homeland or the next thing that happens could be an enemy air raid on Tokyo.[:D]

And Rob, Trusty didn't sink the CL. Sorry. I will admit that she was damaged, though.[8|]

Absolutely nothing i can do vs these raids, and as Offenceman has already indicated the chinese are reverting to dynastic level of technology , so we can happily produce lovely vases and bronze gongs but little else [;)]

In the Phillipines , only Cebu remains as a defensive base and it was reduced down to forts 0 today but the seagulls flying from there have finally got enough experience to actually hit and damage japanese AK's . They have damaged a good 1/2 dozen so far into the war with O47's flying naval search ,they have been harassing japanse shipping for weeks. Sadly that appears to be ending as i am sure the base will fall very soon.

The allied 4E heavies took to the skiea today after a long absence , and hit kendari in 3 uncoordinated waves , damage is unknown at this stage but i suspect a few jap bombers and recons were knocked out with medium damage to the runways. they also managed to hold off upto 14 zeros and most likely shot 1-2 down for no allied loss. the additional training seems to have paid off as previously we lost 6 heavies trying this 3 weeks ago.

RE Game ,, next 2 daays were pretty regular and nothing muck of note bar a succesful AVG ambush over china claiming a half dozen oscars and jap light bomers for no losses.

Actually Aliied 4E hit kendari port and placed an egg in a docked AK , zero oppostion knocked down at least one B17D and one B24 with several more damaged. Most definately NOT an ineffectice CAP vs the uber-allied bombers [;)]

That is actually the commander of Kwangtung Army. He staggered into our meeting and started blurting stuff about Nate and Ida.&nbsp; I yelled at him to leave his drunken manage'e'tois (sp) rantings to the professionals.&nbsp; Then Don-san tossed him out of the meeting.

Rob, I felt it was only fair to CAP trap you once. Good to see that some bombers actually fell.

Two straight turns I have tried to add to the AAR but any of the map shots I would have used had info in them that needed strict censorship.&nbsp;

Nice number of Zeros up in the air over Kendari Mike. Thats quite a discouraging CAP.

Entertaining for both sides though. I loved watching the AVG teach some tricks to IJA trainees.

Hi Mike , the JAAF fighters dont need escort when they turn up en-masse . e.g 60+ at any one time , Dons got that pegged right from the get go. Trying to hit his training medium bombers is an exercise in futility more often than not. Still i have to keep trying or he'll just get free training and we can't allow that [;)]. Also from a commonwealth perspective the AVG replacemnets come from the continental USA and not 'my' force pools. [8D].

Mike , i've found that when taking screenshots i move the map over russia as much as possible when taking shots from the losses tables etc. but i agree that sometime its a bit too much info when taking them from the combat replay. and i KNOW i've given away stuff if you look hard enough. Still its for our adoring public (i.e Yubari).

You mean that you a wasting precious US army flyable assets to kill Japanese airfraimes?! Thats....thats seriousely...well thats seriousely ok because if I was planning
to do the same I currently would need to run a couple of CV´s into a Zero/Betty combo or the almighty KB itself. And for whatever strange reason the CV crews told me
they want to live. [X(]

At this time, I must announce that seydlitz- Don has left the game.&nbsp; Time constraints made his continuing difficult at best and it is probably a wise decision. When Don was recruited to join this game, I doubted he would even start with us because of his other two games and RL time constraints.&nbsp; But he gave it a great effort and his enthusiasm for the game was always welcome.&nbsp; I am still thankful that he signed on and hope he continues to be a reader of this AAR.

I will take over solo as Japan vs. Rob and LoBaron.&nbsp;&nbsp; It will be a challenge and learning opportunity for me as I now have to take over plans and strategies of Don's that I largely ignored earlier.&nbsp; It should be quite fun!

Also we will be doing seperate AAR's soon, as the joint AAR, while sounding good in theory, just isnt a good read for anyone interested in the game.

don will be missed but we wish him well in his other endeavours and offenceman has bravely taken on the combined confusion that is the allies [;)]. Frankly i think he'll be at an advantage as 2 brains isn't always a recipie for greatness [:D].

So We will be carrying on from mid Feb 42 and can the forward allied lines hold vs a new impetus from japan? Timor won't as it was just invaded before i got the 'planned' men in there. big mistake on my part but at least they arent dead ! .. only consolation tbh.

More to come but i'd like to make my last post here a good luck to Mike (offencemen) but not too much [;)]. as commonwealth i want my empire back !
