Attention Alpha group
Alpha groups AAR missing in action! C'mon guys ! Where are the teasers? Have you all forgotten the hype that the Alpha and Beta AARs caused with UV?;)

Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Hi
Since the new official release date is September 2003 (check the development section on the main Matrix page....I go there often to get release dates and they have all been recently updated with new dates) there is no rush for an AAR and BTW we have not been given the green light to start anything like that:)

AAR's during the alpha phase can be very misleading, and many games do not have them. The Alpha versions of most games are usually very incomplete, and have holes in them. Sometimes AAR's can result in a decrease in interest in a product, as its first appearance does not match that of their assumptions, and many refuse to read the fine print that states which features are not yet included in the Alpha stage (believing for some reason that this is the beta or gold AAR). Also, Alpha AAR's do take time away from what they should be doing (testing for bugs) while they are spending time trying to play a scenario from A-B which gives off a good AAR, but not as good for bug searching.
Usually Alpha AAR's appear at the end stages of alpha testing, when the testers have done their job in searching for bugs and can now play a scenario in a manner that is good for telling a story instead of repeating situations over and over again to see if something was a fluke, or a repetitive problem.

I'm sure your nondisclosure agreement covers things like facts, algorythms, coding, systems, etc. I would also bet that it does not cover things like rumours or hints. Rumours, in particular, are not facts.Originally posted by U2
Unless someone at Matrix or 2by3 decides to answer this we, the testers, cant do it because of the NDA.

NDA notwithstanding, I definitely think you should provide either hints or rumours. Expressio unius est exclusio alterius, after all.

This is an immense game. The amount of testing that needs to be done is huge.

Too bad the mouse point text messages dont work here so they could see what each icon represents. But I think you've teased them enough already

Very nice hint indeed. This game looks cool. UV on steroids.
And yes, my mouse keeps hovering involuntarily over the mysterious production icons! Force of habit, I guess. WiTP apparently features a lot of interesting production choices. Most of the icons signify their meaning clearly, but there are a couple of mysteries, most notably the "gears" with the initials N and M.
I want this game now.

Well, there are two varieties of shipyard in that screenshot.

So, any more hints to drop? I know you alpha testers can't say much, but maybe Kid has another screenshot or two to deploy...
We are waiting on the next build to come out. We have gone as far as we can on this build. Right now, other than the map and the production icons the screen shots would not be much different than UV. We are hoping the next build will be stable enough to get some PBEM games going. If that happens, maybe we can post some AARs.

Screen Resolution (1024)?
Can you at least clarify if 1024x768 resolution will be available as is with Uncommon Valor?
The WITP web site only says 800x600.
