The aircraft looks like an SB2U Vindicator - I'm sure the rest of youy can fill in the blanks on this one.

Vultee Vengeance IV, 500 lbs GP Bombs, New Guinea, August 1943. I'm guessing this is a member of No. 24 Sqn RAAF, where they flew missions in Support of the Australian Army and USMC until March of 1944.

I'd say that the roundel is the wrong proportion and colour to be RAAF.  Although it's sometime difficult to tell it looks far more like the inner circle is light blue, so I'd say it was either an RAF or Indian squadron.  From there, a little research leads me to 7 Sqn IAF Vengeance in during the battle of Kohima.

No, they would hook them onto a tractor like seen and drag them down the line of planes and arm them. It was a lot quicker and a hell of a lot safer than carrying them by hand. In the ETO they had specialized tractors and lifters that could haul thousands of pounds of bombs at a time to arm planes like the B-17 and B-24.
Even from this tiny little window into the war you can see the amount of effort it takes to keep a squadron of planes going. All of the ammo and bombs, avgas, spare parts and then support for the pilots and support for the ground crews too. And most of them this had to be shipped in by cargo ship or brought over some very rough and muddy roads where the weather was really bad. It truly was a war of logistics.

Yes, my caption reads 7 Sqd IAF Vengeance loading 110 KG bombs before a strike against the Japanese at Kohima.
