Gryyme - Any advice ? Should I post this in the bugs section for ATG ? It looks ot me like a unit placement event went wrong.

Hi Jeffrey

I checked out the sandstorm thing. Its based on slots following the map borders and these seem to be fine so i do not know what might have caused readiness loss. Are you sure it wasnt any other factor involved?

As for the unhandled exception. What round was it? I looked around r38 and couldnt find any immediate cause. Does it happen every time you open the round? What scenario were you playing? Anything you can say about it helps.

As for posting on the support forum. I guess you can try. But i think Vic has said that he doesnt have time for supporting user created scenarios.

I went ahead and put it in the support forum as well, who knows, something good might happen.

The sandstorm thing is nothing in comparison to the unhandled exception. The exception occurs at the end of my turn after I have chosen to end it, then the program goes into a series of processing steps before finishing up and it's during those closing steps. It's happening every time. I cannot get a saved turn out of the process. We are playing the full campaign. It was turn 38 Allied, turning to Axis.

I can give you the axis turn 38 if it will help.

Well, the good news is that i caught the bug and have fixed it. Its in a reinforcement event that kicks

I was under the impression that it was possible to load a savegame and then edit it and then continue playing it. But i dont remember how, so maybe it was only in my fantasies then.

Anyway. Jeffrey. If that is not possible then the bad news is that i do not se any other way than to abandon the game, really sorry about this. But its difficult to catch all bugs. If you remind me ill send over the PWs to my new Marketgarden scenario once its finished as a small compensation.

I will probably uppload the fixed DAK scenario to my website and password protect it instead (as i have done for my latest scenario). If i do that people who have the scenario can just email me for the PW.

I appreciate the attention and offers. I'd really like to continue on with the same game if possible. Is it possible to edit the events in a sav file and continue playing ? Maybe I'll post that one over in the tech support forum.

I have updated this scenario, but i am waiting to see if someone can tell me how to make the scenario loadable to avoid similar problems in the future.

You go into the settings section of the editor.
Here you go down and click import and other settings.
It should be there just below the standard options.

Here is a screenshot.

Also,

It has to be loaded from there (the setting just below the make it loadable option), and the date and time will revert to round 1. So obviously that would have to be corrected before a "restart" of the game was done.

Ernie: Thanks for the answer. Although its not useful for my purpose then.

I uploaded a new version fixed version of DAK Campaign and Operation Brevity as an ATzip to my webpage. There were similar bugs in both scenario. But its passwordprotected. Those who want to download it and already have gotten the scenario can PM me for the password.

Jeffrey. Sorry about the game. One suggestion would be that you start a game with the Operation Brevity scenario. That scenario starts pretty much at the same time that you and your opponents game crashed.

Well, here's a screen shot of the Allied turn 38 start, I was resting and reorganizing after a long offensive that pretty much rolled over the Italians. The Germans have come into it and they are hovering around just West of my positions.
