I don't think I'm going to make it in time for a decisive victory. The Oder Line is tough, especially in winter. The Oder itself is a major river, which you almost never can attack across in blizzard unless it is frozen. You need at least 13 movement points as infantry to Hasty attack. You might be able to deliberate with 16, but I never had the right guys on the river when they rolled a 16, heck I got lucky to have 13 on a cav. There was a 1 strength sitting across from him, I hit it with about 12 units of artillery and an air strike and retreated him. Pushed two infantry that were adjacent across.
Next turn the infantry cleared left and right and I brought another 4 across. You have to have the HQ adjacent to supply units across an unfrozen ice clogged river.
I've got a bunch of tank units coming up from the south, but he's carpeted it with 1s. With extra movement costs for winter/crossing rivers only getting 3 or 4 hexes a turn, then he throws a bunch more ones at me.
It is an interesting battle.
