To be fair to this guy (and we're all fair on the internet, right), occulted is a word:
Definition 4 is probably most appropriate.

Actually, I think he is attempting to use it as a verb ... I go with #2 as he is clearly out in space. [:D]

Head a few minutes of this guy on the radio last night:
http://www.douglasdietrich.com/topics.html
In the few minutes I listened, he claimed that the Japanese had a recon plane capable of flying from Tokyo to New York and that they were regularly flying recon over the US from 1943 on and they built hundreds of these recon planes. He also claimed the balloon bombs started thousands of fires and that US smoke jumpers were on the go full time fighting the fires started by these bombs.
Then he claimed that the fighter version of the Peggy (which he called the Ki-67, but was actually the Ki-109), was such a successful interceptor that they shot down over 5000 American airmen in B-29s (which would have been around 500 B-29s). He claimed the reason the Enola Gay and Bock's Car were not shot down was because the Japanese knew these planes were carrying nukes, but they didn't want to suffer damage from an EMP when the bombs went off as the planes went down in flames.
I haven't heard anybody get history sooo wrong in quite a while. I wanted to yell at the radio, but restrained myself.

Interesting. Read a little of the highlights on his page. Interesting factoid is that Chennault 'did' in fact prepose active engagement prior to Dec 7 against the Japanese airforce in China, including possible fire raids on Japan from China. However according to Daniel Ford's work on the FT's.......neither Marshall nor anyone else in the upper military hierarchy took his preposals seriously though it was said by Frank Mcintyre that FDR had a secret fondness for the man. I'm betting the "document" this person is referring to is Chennault's preposal. If my theory is correct, it shows how the 'truth' and 'facts' are always ultimately subject to a person's individual interpretation. Maybe Dietrich truely sees this as a smoking gun. I don't based on my own mussings. Ultimately this website highlights the lesson that one should take everything, esp whats on the Internet with a grain of salt....and if interested in such things, do one's own digging.

I think I'm going to disregard the rest of this thread. This sort of whack-bag sets my teeth on edge.

You know, you can't make this stuff up! Erm...maybe you can...
"Documents that Douglas Dietrich incinerated under orders revealed the historical reality of Vouhodouoxn Zombis as a weapon of mass-destruction – a WMD originally deployed by the greatest African American military leader in history to defeat the three most powerful European empires in the world of his time; only to be occulted from modern memory via conspiracy of ignorance and usurped by the soviets (through their Caribbean satellite).
This WMD was later to be unleashed against the communist Chinese during the largest nuclear war which you've never heard of (the Sino-Soviet Conflict). Other documents betrayed the reality of Prion (Proteinaceous Infectious Ion) Zombies collaterally generated by monstrously irresponsible United States nuclear testing on America's own.
Finally, Soviet archival materials destined for destruction exposed the fact of Vampires in our midst from the dawn of time; a subspecies of genus: homo sapiens that the Soviet Empire subjected into service within both the military and espionage arms of its totalitarian state."
We all know that those JFBs get the uber Betty, why the hell can't I get this added to the database for for the Allies. I have been trying for years but the devs obviously have a personal bias against me....[;)]

They set my teeth on edge too, but I'm finding this thread hilarious.
Anyone who claims to know "everything" about a subject probably doesn't know much at all. I have people in my life who think I know everything there is to know about World War II. If I had any such illusions, 15 minutes on this forum would dispel those notions.
PaxMondo: I only restrained myself because it was late and my SO was headed for bed and I was headed that direction shortly. I don't think she would have appreciated the adrenalin rush that comes from your SO screaming at the top of his lungs on the other end of the house when you're trying to settle in for the night. It was a close thing though...

Forget about the uber Bettys! This is what is needed:
"On August 9, 1945, the Sacred Crane Task Force of Imperial Japanese Superdirigibles penetrated American airspace as easily as it had been violated during The Battle of Los Angeles."
Imperial Japanese Superdirigibles! Of the Sacred Crane Task Force no less! No more KB! It's SC now!
This was on the page of "Past Events" Last month's "Quest 4 Truth" in which he talked about the Shōwa Plague-Paradigm Paradox! I'm surprised that he hasn't talked about the Germans bombing Pearl Harbor.

Hello
I personal y ask myself which is more sad. A person who writes such stuff or a person who believes this.
An other expample is Erich von Däniken a Swiss author (nothing to do with military).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erich_von_D%C3%A4niken
He sold more than 60 million copies worldwide with historical nonsense.

Omat;
Just because you don't believe that every non-random pile of stones ever assembled by pre-historic man (bone in nose or without) was a secret landing strip for benevolent aliens does not mean you should mock those of us who do. I am thinking of reporting you to the moderators.

Shame on me
....it is hard for me to desist from these old stuff called science. I promise to improve!
Well I have an Idea. Conspiracy theory (or simply referred as the truth) are god but have an drawback. When you sells billions of books you get rich but that`s not enough.
When you give a lecture on the topic :”Roswell and the Rising Sun: World War II didn't end the way you think . . . ” what would you think will be as audience?
Well only nerds and stout menfolk with beards. I think that`s no amusement.
So I am working on my own uber-conspiracy theory. With also included some large parts of esoterism which also attract more the female population. So you can be rich ans also get many groupies.
I hope I could restore my good reputation...

If i'm reading your sarcasm correctly, and apologies if i'm not......thats a big part of the "problem". I learned this viewpoint from my psychology 101 teacher.....a really smart guy with an imtimidatingly (and at times, infuriatingly) scientific mind. Had he desired it, he could have taken on the typical superior air of the 'research scientist' who (allegedly) bases everything on THE FACTS and looks down his nose at anyone who he feels DOES NOT.
Instead....on subjects like Aliens or religion....life after death etc.....his answer invariabley to questions regarding it was "Science can't answer this question" because as he saw it.....he broke down "science" to it's most basic element......hypothesis.....experiment.....conclusion. If the subject at hand can't be proven....or disproven cleanly by 'The Scientific Method' than the automatic answer is not a negative......nor is it a positive. The current answer is that the question cannot be accurately answered at all. One can theorize....one can believe and form personal views....but from the VIEWPOINT of science.....the question has no answer (as of yet)
I thought this was a very enlightened view. Typically whenever the whole 'religion' thing comes up, you expect a scientist to sneer and say. "There's no such thing because there's no evidence!!!!!" So his view that "This question cannot (currently) be answered by science" was a real eye opener...and he did it without a trace of conceit.
Unfortunately, his view, both in professional as well as amateur circles is more an exception. Usually one gets responses like what Omat's sounds like...."Oh!!!!! i'm sorry.....i was using SCIENCE again.........forgive me. I'll get out the Ju Ju beads and stand on my head"
Just sayin......that hiding behind the "Science" card is no excuse to be an obnoxious prig. Unless someone can provide indesputible "Scientific Evidence" of something....whether it be ALiens on the moon, God, or whether or not the established view of history may not be what we've always been taught.....they have no right to claim the mantle of truth.
As for this guy's website. Yeah, "Personally" I think his theories are way out there......but i'm not going to jump on the nutcase bandwagon. Actually i'd love to hear him speak. I might laugh internally, but it'd be interesting to see on what exactly and what 'documents' he's using to put forward his theories.

Nik, I really like the approach of your teacher regarding science! [8D]
As for your last point, I fear you would likely be disappointed to find the guy on this website is using no "documents" at all to back up his theories. [:D]

I will give in to a non-scientific method and admit that while browsing his page.....my eyes kept drifting back up to his portrait. The facial expression was just too much. Kept thinking.....'would you buy a used car from this gentleman?'
ok.....some lighthearted humor for a Hump day workweek. [:D]
