I like it on random. I actually replaced the original humans so you can't select them.
Putting the Cylons on average distance with Young starting and Guardians on Young but distant works out to a nice game. Add in several random starting empires.

Is there a way to add original humans? That way I can have them in the game and I can ally with them vs Cylons :).

I could do it, the original race pic for humans would look out of place but might be able to find a suitable alternative. I'll look in to it when I find some time.

Don't worry about it, you must be busy. I jsut thought maybe I could copy all the race stuff from DW legends in BSG folder. I don't know much about modding so that might sound silly.

It's a lot more complex than that I'm afraid.

This is some really good work.
I have never seen the new series; it looks a little more frightening than the old one... especially with those pics of people in the tubs sweating and looking very unhappy...
The mod is well done!

Excellent work, Haree. This looks terrific.

I've installed, and I'll try and squeeze in a wee game later on. [:)]

Thank you :)

The new series is pretty dark, as a show about a race being reduced to 40,000 people all fleeing death should be!

I've not seen the old series, but I love the new series.  Series 1-3 beat all Hollywood sci-fi and the other sci-fi TV shows in my opinion [:)]  A shame series 4 and 5 sucked though [:D]

And now that there are railguns, one could make something a little closer to the series with missiles & railguns...

The only massive space-arc to compare to Babylon 5 was the re-imagining of Battlestar Galactica. Great stuff, dude.

I must say Wow!! - Only one note: It appears as the portraits of the alien species in the game setup have not been ported to the description of the alien species. I guess that's because this part may not have been accessible to modding.

Thanks for this cool, mindblowing, atmospheric mod.

Really? 40,000?
I would have thought it to be more... I mean an aircraft carrier is 5,000 people, and I presume a ship like that would be more...
Still, it sounds cool!

I observe a significant slow down after uploading a savegame. Is this a known savegame issue or due the graphic packs of the mod and is there anything that could be done to limit the slow down? Thanks.

i thinks its due to the new patches (esp 1702).

It actually drops much lower during the 3rd season, below 10,000 at one point if I recall. Very dark stuff, and for the most part very well done. A must-watch for sci-fi fans, especially if you like the philosophical bent.

Mmmh, it's a 1702 save. So, maybe the save was spoiled or my install has some issues. I guess, if the save does not work properly after restart, then I gonna have to install everything from the scratch again. - Thanks for the hint.
