All Infantry set to 80% ToE, other then ones with 85 or higher morale. 100%
Mech and panzer to 100%.

You have wasted a crap ton on junk units.

Your toes need to be set turn 1. In my game vs Kamil I have almost 300,000 armament pts Aug 1st 43.

Forts should also be set to 50% before you end your turn.

More March silliness. Sigh.

Something is wrong here. I don't know what, but I'm definitely sold that there is a problem.

As everyone was saying to me last month we need to wait until 1944 atleast.

The advise I was getting I am giving to you.

As you know the russian army is over powered late in game and will not take long to brake the back of german army.

The problem is the lack of a season to fight early on in game, which is causing problems with game balance later in game.

Both sides spend most of there time running hehehe not historical at all.

i am realy curious to get the next turn. will sj use the c-m weather phase for a large scale attack?

my recon pilots are flying like bees to detect german armor concentrations.

between kursk and rostov i see 3 groups of german "schnelle truppen". 5 reserve armies were released from STAVKA reserve to the bryansk, SW and transcaucasus front. i have 3 stable lines of level 2-3 forts and several guards divisions in the 2nd and 3th line. also a lot of brigades with high moral (they had nothing to do in blizzard and have good moral) to eat german MP. also the red air force has a superiority about 3.5:1 over the luftwaffe and is concentrated in the south.

BUT my 3 years old son may be the reason for a lost battle for me in the next turn. he wanted daddy to play "railroad contstruction unit" in his room:) and so i forgot to put units with a 50+ moral on reserve. i can say that now since i got the turn back from sj and this information can not hurt me for this turn.

one problem i experienced this turn was the following one:

sj created a pocket in the north before mud with a handfull russian divisions.

now i concentrated nearly 500 fighters and all of my transporters in the area to airlift supply to the troops in the pocket but most of the time my fighters simply dont want to fly a escort mission and so my transports face some loses.

whats the problem here? the fighters are in range and have 0% "usage" so far.

Hey bigbaba, you are so in luck. Because the c-m-weather switch is starting one turn later as expected from you. So you have more time to build up a strong defense. It seems you have already detected where the Wehrmacht will attack ... hopefully my Pioneers will do a good job. Maybe I should change my plans. [;)]
I'm really looking forward to some heavy fighting in summer 1942. The c-m-weather turns will be the prelude, let's see what the Wehrmacht is able to do in 1942.

I'm facing the same issue with figthers in my mission. If I want to start a bombardment, I have masses of bombers but lacking of fighter support. The fighter airbase is close to the front and the guys are rested and haven't flown a mile this week. I don't unterstand this.

Hey Pelton, thanks for your comments. At beginning of the campaign I reduced the max TOE of my Arty to 50%. Now I have 240K Araments in the pool, so missing Araments is not the problem. As mentioned before I have now reduced the max TOE for all Support Units to their current Level, hopefully my replacements are now going as Rifle Squads to the front line.

Here is the update of Ending "Unternehmen Frühlingserwachen" in turn 41. It was a major succes for Axis side. The Sovjets started a slowly withdrawel in snow turn 2. The last snow turn my offensive lost it's steam because fatigued troops hit medium/heavy forts.

We finally got into may 1942. Now it's getting interesting again ... can the Wehrmacht go to offensive again?
I used the first clear turn to probe some attacks against indepth sovjet defenses. I tried not to be aggressive, because I have no real feeling about Sovjet counter attack possibilities. I don't want to get divs encircled during clear-mud-turns in may. Bigbaba's strategy with spamming brigades behind his front lines was a gift for my tanks and mot inf divs which means many easy targets for hasty attacks with nice morale gains. The Luftwaffe inflicted heavy losses to Sovjet planes, hundreds of Sovjet planes were shot down. [:)]
It seems he put many units in reserve mode, they commit in too many battles. [:@]

During the mud turns in april I tried to let one hex free between Sovjet and German front line whenever possible to reduce attriction losses and prevent the Sovjets from creating Level 3+ forts.

The front line from Moscow northwards is almost quite. Only PzArmy 4 did some attacks around Vladai hills to clear the pocket and to correct the front line. The terrain is simply too bad for offensive actions and not much good targets remain in that area.

the early 42 phase atm is realy something for soviet masochists.

in the c-m-c phase sj pockets around 160 k of my troops and there is nothing i can do against that. the troops sit in level 2-3 forts (3 stacks in front, 1 unit in the 2nd line and with all my 50+ moral units 3-4 hexes behind in reserve modus and he still cause half of my army to rout.

call it a combination of unrealistic german power in spring 42, his good playing skills and my weak blizzard and you have a hopeless situation for russians.

now i realy hate it to quit (played around 12-13 PBEMs so far and quitted 2 times so far while 6-7 times my opponents quitted) but i see realy no hope for the russians in the 9 turns clear phase.

i would like to find a replacement opponent for sj. if someone is willing to take over AND the devs can make it possible to give a servergame to someone else it would be a great ending of this game.
