i think there may be an issue...

Post by GreyJoy »

...with ground bombing target system...

I double, triple checked...

In my game with Rader i have a HUGE concentration of bombers at Hakodate (Hokkaido) and i'm trying, for several turns, to target enemy land units at Hachinoe (Honsu)...since 10 turns ago, every single time the target hex gets deleted and my bombers took off to bomb Ominato instead of Hachinoe...

At first i thought i made a mistake and i simply overdid the orders...but turn after turn the problem comes back...and this last time i'm 200% sure isn't my fault.

Then i thought it was because Rader was moving units from Hachinoe to Ominato...but then Rader confirmed he was not...

It's pretty annoying and it's a critical problem for my offensive...

I'm also sure that this problem wasn't there before...it's something "new"...

When the turn plays the target objective gets deleted and bombers simply chose the closest destination instead of what i've ordered them...

Michealm could you please take a look?

Can't attach the zip file...says it's too large...
what should i do? email?

Thanks a lot

Must be in apatch since then.

Issue is a twist on the old bug about groups not being able to ground attack hex with friendly LCUs present.

Maybe that Cruise Ship Captain could claim his Nav system had a bug and was waiting for michaelm to fix it.

Its about the only thing that will keep him out of jail.

Micheal, sorry to bother u again...

...how does it work now the update procedure? I have the turn under the previous beta...i'm ready to enter my orders...should i update and set my orders under the newest beta you gave us here or should Rader updates just before watching the reply and so resolving the turn?

Thanks

The turn (and the replay of course) should be resolved under the new EXE.
Entering orders shouldn't matter as nothing has been changed until the turn plays out.
