I also would love to see "Reported Hit" messages for own ships, I don't know why but if one of my naval search or ASW planes attack a ship/sub and hits it it's reported as "SS I-19 is reported HIT" for example, but why do I get no message if one of the enemy planes hits one of my ship?
It's really irritating because next turn you usually wonder why and where a ship was damaged that has seen no combat.

Same counts for the "Reported Sunk" message, often after a combat you hear the sinking sound file playing what usually indicates that the just attacked ship was reported sunk and shows up in the "Sunk Ship" list at least I guess so, can't we get a message for this too?

This happens even if your ship hits a rock or if your two ships collide when
loading/unloading...you can read this info in ops report.

Sure but just like the "SS I-19 is reported HIT" message that is in the OpsReport AND in the game I suggest to give those events also an in-game message and not only a note in the OpsReort, hits on an own ships or sinkings of enemy vessels are at least as important as a hit message on an enemy vessel.

Actually its more important than hits on enemy vessels. Sure would be nice to know "Hey, you might want to send SS I-19 in for repairs, it's sinking!"

Ok I'm having a problem for something that was supposedly fixed but it looks like there's another case that needs to be solved. I have an ambhib TF that is to unload at Iba & for some reason 2 HQ become fragments during the turn execution w/ the main part due in 40+ days even thought the entire unit was in the tf before it unloaded. I've tried leaving the tf in the Iba hex for a turn not unloading & let it unload the turn after as well as when it arrives during the turn & the same 2 units do this each time - the 4th & 33rd Ind Corp HQ become fragments w/ the main part due in 40+ days. Another tf that arrives in Iba the turn after unloads fine but fragments of those units are still in Singapore. So it looks like something is still wrong w/ the fragment to parent conversion process

I have the same problem; after unload my AirHQ is divided in 2 fragments;
the fragment whit 'torpedo ordnance' has a delay of 52 days...my Betty needs torpedo![;)]

No, you don't need them, believe me [:D]

Anyhow, same problem here with an Indian Brigade, I loaded the unit in a Trasport TF without destination but I forgot to change to "Do not unload", the turn after the unit was splitted in two, the main part and a xxx/6 fragment with few support elements inside.
Now I'm loading the unit again, we shall see.

The combination of the 'upgrade/not upgrade/allowed/not allowed/due now/due later/etc' filters should allow you to see upgrades from almost any viewpoint.[;)]

These switches are not available during TF creation.

Actually I just used it and it was incredibly helpful!

I had a number of TFs sitting at a major port between operations but a few ships spread across over ten TFs were overdue for upgrade. So I created a TF, selected "suppress ships not due uprade", selected everyone of the ones still displayed, disbanded the TF and the next turn all the overdue ships went into upgrade.

OK! so it's useful but why not the opposite filter.
As I recall there are both filters available... has that changed?

Yes

Sorry. Didn't notice the original post say 'TF creation'. Thinking of the main ship list screen.

There are 2 buttons on my screen - 'Suppress ships due upgrade' and 'Suppress ships not due upgrades'. They change to 'Show' when pressed.
Upgrade due is one overdue or in the current month. Doesn't consider the ship's 'allowed to upgrade' flag.

The purpose IIRC was to hide those ship that were due an upgrade when creating a TF. The idea being that those ships would be reserved to have their upgrades done when due.

I do not have two buttons just 'Suppress ships not due upgrades' and I have the latest patch.

I find it useful each turn to click on the "All ships" tab and then sort by flotation. That shows any ship that might be in danger of foundering for any reason.

That's the reason but it's stupid[:@] It means very little forward planning is possible and needs to be changed asap.

Pull down the "List all Active Ships" (shortcut S) screen and you can see and sort all upgrades. You also can plan ahead to your heart's contend. Nothing stupid here.

I'll repeat you cannot do this while creating a TF.

Basically you have no idea which ships are due an upgrade during TF creation short of writing the ships names down on paper. I've sent ships back to a shipyard ready for a refit next months and with my memory forgot some turns later and created a TF with them.

Something must be wrong then, because across the bottom of my screen are two buttons, one suppress ships due and one shows ships due for overhaul.

You only get the 'Surpress ships due update' button IF you have ships overdue or due this month. It does not show ships due next month or later.
