Nope, not hard and fast. The AI works with the extended map just as well as the stock map. Remember, the AI is told what to do on the basis of "slots" (Base slots, LCU slots, Airgroup slots, etc..) It just won't use the extra bases in North India, because it hasn't been told to do so. But Aden and Abadan occupy the same slots as they do in stock, so no worries, there. The Malaya tweaks were done so as to keep the AI troop flow the same. The only PI tweak that's invisible, is Subic Bay, but the Subic Bay defenders (LCUs) are withdrawn into Bataan, so that won't matter, either, in the grand campaign scheme of things. We really did try to stay righteous.ORIGINAL: Buck BeachIs this hard and fast?ORIGINAL: oldman45
If you want to go with the AI, I think you have to go with the standard map.
The main "Extended" thing that doesn't work for the AI is stacking limits. It understands the "Stock Atoll/Island Size" stuff, but nothing else. Stacking limits are fun for a human player, just don't expect the AI to play along [;)] Other than that, go for it!
