To play with Norway, you need this in the scenario folder and the date must be before January 1940 in your existing game or you will need to start a new one.

install here

Razz,

Did you considered creating a couple of events which will allow players to make some choices at the very beginning of the game?
For example:
Possibility for early barbarossa: yes/no
Sea Lion: yes/no
etc

No, as Sea Lion Option is still in the game however, I explained the benefits of choosing the Option (Why you pay 300PP). I believe now you really need the benefit as taking UK is very hard with the supply constraints in 1.01.

For early Barbarossa there is no Option however, that is covered by demanding Bessarabia and German support of Romania.

I believe I increased the chance for Russia to demand it.

I got stuck with early war with Russia this game as accepted to support Romania. It is quite interesting as everything was still in France and France choose to fight until death.

Then the extra cost of taking Norway didn't leave much build up of troops.

The Russians had the best cards until the last 4 months.
Here it is after one year of early war. Winter to come soon and Russian units are already at 67% effectiveness or higher. The low is 45% surrounded.

Those mine above are only examples.
So you can make everything optional very easy.

Yes, you can change or make Options variable or dependent upon certain conditions.
In the above game, the AI captured all of Africa except Tobruk. I even lost an Italian bomber by land attack.
I'm coming back now but it s very difficult to kill those level 3 infantry units.

And of course the Anglo Iraq War.

Human vs human will be interesting and the Allies should win, but they have to fight for it.

I noticed in a few other games... The AI likes to move their planes from Iraq and use else where.
They moved a unit to Bomber unit to Basra. The fighter still might be in the area in Kuwait but I'm not sure.
If the AI keeps their planes around they should be able to kill the Iraq Airforce.

I may have to place the planes right before the war starts to prevent this occurrence.

I can bomb the Hell out of Habbanyia and attack it with the Iraq Army.
But the British flag still flys. I gave up and am just waiting for new troops to surround it.

Down South the Indian's and Pakistanis arrived and capture Basra. I just got lucky and knocked out the 3rd Indian Motor brigade otherwise they would have surrounded Az Zubayr.

King's column and Habforce should have been here to rescue the Fort.

I may have to check out Storm in the Pacific as we had a command where I could get the AI to March across the map and attack a position. I'll have to search for that to see if I can implement it here in Iraq.

Only problem I have so far is with the amphibious invasion of Norway by the Allied AI.

They retreated from Habbaniya air field and move to Kuwait.

Hi Razz,

Playing your Third Reich mod as UK and USA with all others AI.

I'm not sure if it is the mod or not, but After the Germans took out Vichy France, they appear to be able to build German troops directly in French North Africa, which is now German North Africa. For example, after Operation Torch, I get to Fez which is now surrounded by 3 German panzer korps, 2 German panzer divisions, and assorted other German troops, and I am seeing the same thing over near Tripoli. They certainly didn't use naval transport to move these units as I have fleets in all North African coastal sea zones. Is this WAD ?

Another thing that I noticed was the large concentration of Axis air power in France, both fighters and tac bombers (maybe 10 fighters and 20 tac bomber untis), even while Barbarossa was ongoing. It appeared as though only strat bombers were committed to the Russian campaign.

1) That's historical events for Deutches Afrika Legionaire.

I'll fix that.

Go to data\events\ThirdReich and zip this file

events_02_germany


Also, you can zip the saved game here and I will delete those excess German units.

There should only be 3 units total.


2) That concentration is from normal TOF. I believe it will be patched in 1.02

Hmmm. I'm not sure if the problem is with the events. If I switch Germany to human player and take a look, I see that indeed I am able to build German units directly in and adjacent to the port of Oran in Algiers. Same with all cities in France. Not sure if this is correct. Here is the saved game zip.

You are correct. Germany can deploy in Rabat and Oran.

So this is WAD from Wasteland.

However that event for Deutches Afrika Legionaire has been repaired for the next update.

Unfortunately I can not fix that without altering the map. I can not change the map as I can not get the editor to work until I go to windows 7

Any idea what prompted the design decision to allow Germany to deploy directly in Rabat and Oran ? Isn't this totally ahistorical ?

Looks great. I have downloaded all files concerning this mod and I will play with when I will have more time, I am very interrested (to play this improved Third Reich, and also to see your modding tips in parameters and to use them[:D]

I am playing the Third Reich mod. On the May 1st, 1940 turn an event fires telling me the "German effectiveness increases in Netherlands". This event fires continuously.

The Netherlands have already been taken, which may be why the event design fails.

I will try to continue after disabling the event.
