I finished off the enemy stack which released my units to push north. i withdrew my recon unit from north, enemy stack followed.

I wont bore you with the details. I rolled over the enemy in the north. See shots below, the enemy made it easy to take back the airfield.

Hmm the victory screen implies that the Japanese took no hits on infantry or armour but we know they did!
