GreyJoy, Gents -

Outstanding Thread; lots of very clear explanations of the Babes concepts; followed by excellent guidance. There is always so much more to learn, no matter how long one has been playing Babes / AE.

GreyJoy, you cant go wrong with the very experienced Gents (ny59giants, Damien, witpqs et all just to name just a few) to help keep you on track. Do hope that you will give Babes - in whatever format - a spin; you will not be disappointed. The best to you and your opponent; and hope for an AAR!

I am very impressed with the quality (and generosity!) of the support offered.

@Greyjoy
I would go with the offer of NY59Giants for a testgame. He is a great teacher and will give you constant tips what to make better, what to look at
and so on. Especially with economics and R&D you might need his help. He teached me the same way and i´m still VERY thankful for.

You can use stacking limits and the bigger map with stock scenarios. ny59giants can provide all info.
Almost, but not quite ...

The "Map" thing and "Stacking Limits" thing are independent of each other;
The individual scenarios need to be configured for the Map changes: so ...

Stock scenarios (them as comes with the game) can only use the Stock Map;
Babes (BabesLite and BigBabes) scenarios marked "A", can only use the Stock Map;
Babes (BabesLite and BigBabes) scenarios marked "B", can only use the Extended Map;
BigBabes scenarios marked "C", can only use the Extended Map;

But ...
There is a pwhexe file for Stock Map Stacking Limits; and
There is a pwhexe file for Extended Map Stacking Limits.

So, "everybody" can have Stacking Limits. But to play on the Extended Map means you have to play a scenario that was adapted to run on the Extended Map. Maps are "either/or", SLs are "both".

And Obvert is right on ... ny59giants is one of the Pros from Dover. If you have a problem, and he can't figure it out, he knows how to get the answer. And he'll get right back to you.

Hi GJ. I thought this was a good guide to determine what to do w/ the engine factories if u play w/ Realistic R/D off. This chart was used in a RA70 game.
