Bombardments were modest in China. Air attacks all over there as usual, but there is little industry for them to destroy at their targets. Units continuing to move to and along the Burma border.

Here is a look at some submarine patrol stations. More to come, of course.

SVC has been using the double-edged sword of bombarding my troops. It does cause a lot of supply loss but it also gives the defenders experience, and all the combat units in Changsha are experienced troops with Exp rating in the 50s. Here is an Intel screen for comparison to the one posted a couple of turns ago.

The IJA has at least one more unit on the way from the east. I plan to follow them from Kweilin and trap them in Liuchow without supplies. At least until another IJA flips a hex side to open it for them.

The usual bombardments. xAKL Proteus has left Normanton with a cargo of 1,167 tons of general supplies (dehydrated ammo, building supplies, food, etc.) for Darwin. The hope is that a lone small vessel can get in and out unnoticed.

I stupidly over stacked Kalemyo, just across the Burmese border from India. One unit is moving back up the trail as fast as it can until other units can finish moving into the jungle. If noticed perhaps this movement will provide some deception.

Just the expected air attacks and bombardments.

An interesting situation has developed around Liuchow in China. Look at the map below and see that the only pathway for supplies to the Empire's troops investing Liuchow is to the east. There was an Imperial unit there, but it just finished moving into Liuchow. Although he has superiority of force there for the moment - IJ: 1,324 AV versus Allied: 1,039 AV - there is another Chinese unit of 229 AV traveling with ETA two days. Two other Chinese units with combined AV of 581 are now beginning to fast march from Kweilin to the woods-rough hex just east of Liuchow, intent on blocking the Empire's supply line.

Notice the hex just west of Liuchow. The Chinese and Japanese units both just arrived there, so neither has control of any hex sides. The IJA unit is now heading NE, apparently intent on cutting the rail line from Tuyun to Liuchow. That will impede the flow of supply to Liuchow, but the IJA unit will then be itself be totally cut off from supply. The identity of that unit is unknown, but the units investing Liuchow are:
21st Division
67th Ind.Infantry Battalion
12th Ind.Mixed Brigade
17th Division
48th Division
23rd Army
If we can actually run them out of supply and smash or destroy them that would be quite a haul!

Casualties were pretty heavy, but that will make supplying the army easier. The victorious Imperial host appears to be splitting up, both pursuing our vanquished forces toward Kweilin and moving toward Nanning. Nanning will certainly be abandoned before they arrive and the army will flee north.

Burma was different. two Indian brigades continued holding off two Japanese divisions, and now it looks as though one or both divisions is pulling back.

An uneventful turn with the movements described earlier continuing. The usual bombardments in China were quite damaging today but the continue to train our forces there to a high level. If ever we get supplies the Empire will rue the day!

The 1st and 5th Marine Regiments arrived today and were assigned the targets of Kusaie Island and Ponape.

We're shuffling forces to provide some extra defense to Ichang against the enemy slogging through the forest. As a result we just got hit with a partisan attack in Changteh, which I had overlooked. Hopefully that won't signal SVC to launch a para assault as it will be about 4 days until we cover the garrison requirement.

Really bad bombardment at Hengyang today, 20 combat squads disabled and 3 destroyed, plus a handful of other items. South of Kweilin things went better than yesterday.

Those are the troops making an orderly withdrawal south of Kweilin that dealt another stiff rebuke to the Imperials. The small unit is in the mountains guarding the pass from Burma, now in enemy hands.

Our B-17 raid on Mandalay was a failure, losing 2 for indeterminate damage. A series of sweeps by the Empire over Chittagong were hotly opposed.

SVC has a unit now at Ichang itself, apparently 3 more on the way. We have reinforcements in place and others coming. The trouble for us is the 2 units moving across the swamp as we do not know their strength.

Here you see the min-drama around Paoshan. The RM Viper force will take the road behind the IJA units tomorrow or the day after and block resupply.
