Aye. Same here, Roger. He had a few of those-he really loved this game (and other wargames). I intentionally took on a game with him knowing full well that it was unlikely to see completion. [:)]

He's got a few opponents upstairs to play a game with. Should we put Desmond Wallace as the commander of the CL Leander in the data base?

It is very sad to hear Divepac has lost his fight against cancer. From his rare posts about his personal health it was clear that it will be a close call, but you always hope that everything turns out fine, even more with all the possibilities of modern medicine.

I always respected his thoughts on the game and else, he was a bright and inquiring mind and had a fine sense of humor. Definitely one of the guys remembered by our little community. He will leave an empty place here.

Chickenboy, if you think it appropriate to respond to his widow (you already did probably), I believe it is no exaggeration to tell her the whole forum community was moved by those sad news and sends her all our deepest condolences. He was a good guy and everyone here knows. Maybe it brightens her modd a tiny bit.

RIP Des!

I passed on these condolences from the group with our group's sense of loss.

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

It's always sad to hear of a community member passing... seems to be too regular an event as the years go by.
