Well, 30k isn´t exactly "cheap" but an Audi A6 is twice that. [:D] I think cars might be more expensive in Europe than in the states.

A new audi a6 starts at around 43K. The verso isn't sold in the US. I know Hilux is sold everywhere but the US. I would love to have one of them.

Yeah. The best results were during day but flying low on night scored decent hits. Don't expect though that you will destroy +100 points of factories in a day.

I had P51 flying sweeps from Iwo Jima and surrounding bases. Those helped againts katsuragi.

Againts Dave I failed to penetrate the inner circles thus the bombers went in alone.

As for B17's and B24's. I did not get suitable bases for them so those were flying secondary ground assaults around Philippines and Burna. That is why you don't see them going againts home island.

It will be very useful if you get close enough so make that your aim for now.

They have both the British and US versions showing in Sweden. I have to say the US one is really...bad. But I love the British Top Gear. I think it might be my favorite show after Family Guy! [:D]

I love the British version. Am is ok but their not as good as the Brits. I like Family Guy. I would like to see more trucks driven on the show though.

Not sure if this helps, but we got a Hyundai I30 estate when we had number 2, and its been fantastic. Lots of boot space, room for four cycle racks on the top and does well of fuel and we've never had any problems with it.

We took a big risk here moving outside adequate LRCAP and landed at Makassar. No opposition and no automated return bombardment. Looks like there are no combat troops left! Ordered an immediate attack here.

Pools and strategic bombers

I took a big decision this morning. I will pull another 4 P47 and 4 P51 squadrons off the line today. They will downgrade to P40s and move to OZ where I have spare AS thanks to the restricted RAAF BFs in place. They will all train GRND.

This I hope will add a small pool to allow for at least two or three days of combat. I will have to chose this occasion very carefully though. I must make it worth the price. In the meantime I avoid combat.

I was not helped by the withdrawal of no less than 4 of the great 24 plane USMC squadrons over the last week. [:(] This greatly diminishes the airpower at Luzon.

I will also pull another 3 B29-1 squadrons off the line. I have some Bolos and B17Ds left in the pool. They will also train GRND in OZ. I don´t think I will ever be able to upgrade any of the B29-1 squadrons to the 25 version. The 40 I get barely keeps up with combat and OPS losses and I don´t think I will ever get any to spare as even more -25 squadrons arrive putting even more strain on the pool.

The next version is the "B" version. This one will most likely never be used over the HI as it lack any kind of armament in favor of bombload and range. Without armament the 20% losses to NFs will most likely be completely unsustainable.

I don´t think the air war has ever looked this bleak for the allies to be honest. Its really depressing. [:(]

The only positive thing is that the Hellcat pools are finally starting to rise. But at this point the Hellcat isn´t very stellar and can´t carry the war on its own.

Very simple, no finesse, just brute force. I can´t provide LRCAP for any fancy landings at this stage because I lack the planes and pools to do so. So we do it the only way we can. By land and under heavy AA cover. I´m going to pile on 12 divisions and 22 tank units backed up by 18 Arty units at Manila. Thats something like 6000 AV. I´m sure the almost 1000 Shermans will help....

Going by the advice of Bullwinkle and aztez the Allied HQ will revise the earlier plans. Need to do some thinking and looking at the map before I´m really sure what to do.

Hey, any advice helps! And the I30 is 6000 Euro cheaper than the Toyota...but that would mean giving up the extra 2 seats. But I´m certainly going to look into it. The price is of course very important!

As can seen in the screenshot the Hellcat -5 is slowly recovering. All CVs escort squadrons are now flying them and I will slowly start upgrading the CVE squadrons in the coming months.

I have to be really careful with the F4U-1A numbers. Many USMC can not use the F4U-1D unless I pay up 100 PP. I rather not spend the PPs on that. So right now the USN squadrons currently flying the 1A gets priority on the new 1D to free up 1As for the USMC.

I´ll post the USAAF pools in a couple of days when the planes from the withdrawn squadrons start to trickle in. Right now there arn´t anything in them besides Cobras and Warhawk. [:(]

The new Privateer has a somewhat healthy pool. Sadly this plane has given up a little bomb space to accommodate a radar. Not a trade I would want really. So only 8 500lbs bombs.

I only get 30 per months though. But I just bought out another 2 squadrons from WC to try and fill the gap a little that was left by the B24 squadrons I had to withdraw from combat.

Here they are. Not a pleasant read. I have withdrawn some squadrons though and have some P47s and P51 incoming to the pools.

The only usable plane with any kind of numbers are the P38s. And they are struggling at this point. 1:1 ratio is the best I can hope for on the defensive. Using them on offensive mission are not productive at all.
