Sure - use it for your talk. I don't mind if one or two more people see it.

I should add that I have yet to find a way for an oil resource to be sent to China and saved there. It is possible that the file I was working with had this issue because China's preliminary production planning had already been completed and thus their flag was grayed-out. Although you can click another country's flag and look at their plan, it appears you can only change it when it's that country's turn (or at least that's the case for resources received by trade), so it may be advisable to not click the "Close" on a major power, but rather keep skipping to the next until happy with all - and then Close them one-by-one.
In my current vanilla 1.0.6 game, the British sent Burmese oil to Kunming and the Chinese saved it there. Saving this oil has to be done on the Chinese planning screen, so if Chinese planning is finished, the oil can't be saved. Also, the oil must be saved in preliminary planning; for some reason I have had problems changing traded resources in the final planning step.

The only problem with that oil now is that there is so much saved oil in Kunming that it gives the Japanese a juicy target!
I thought I knew how to play this game....

My latest struggle with trade.

Activated the USE, Resources to China.
Laid out a convoy from Philippines to China.
AI decides a resource in the USA will be sent.
Idle that resource.
AI picks another USA resource.
Ended up idling all USA resources until only Philippines is left. (AI never sent an oil).
AI decides to send Philippines resource to China.
Go back and un-idle all resources and get them working.

China and USA now happy with trade agreement.

Trade agreement of 3 resources to Italy is working fine.

If you had done the lend from the Philippines as the very first thing, using the process described above in Post #18, you would have saved a lot of time and frustration.

I got the hang of it now. When you find resources from the UK are going to China via your convoys instead of the resources from Burma and India just start with the Indian and Burma resource and default them to China. This frees your convoys which the AI will gleefully use to transport available resources to the UK instead of using your valuable convoys sending resources from the UK. Just be mindful that if you move extra convoy points into a sea zone or you lose some then the AI my route different resources than the ones you expect even when it it a longer route.

Sometimes it is only 1 resource that is causing the problem so if you set that one first you can save yourself a lot of headache. After posting this thread and receiving all the good advice I am happy to say I can get any resource to any location I want.

Very good button to use is "Unused Convoys" and when you are viewing the route screen right clicking on a sea zone in the convoy map view will tell you the resources going through a particular sea zone. This can help you identify the resource causing the problem and maybe using 5-6 convoys in a long distance transfer when it doesnt need to be used at all. Make sure you check the "Show Allied convoys" button to.
