Ok, I gotta work on my turn a little.
Some other salient points...
The allied 4Es are intact and whole, and pre beta coordinate attacks very nicely.
The KB is in Singapore, with about the entire Japanese fleet and there is no, as in zero, fuel there. Oddly, there are some tankers scattered singly in ports all over the place.
There are no capital ships in the home islands, truk, central pacific, north pacific, really, anywhere, but Singapore and off Java. And I am including Destroyers in my loose interpretation of capital ship here. Most subs are between Baker and Hawaii with full torpedo loads.
Sapporo HI shut down due to lack of fuel. I shut off the Merchant shipyards and stopped a lot of xakls. Miri is still heavily damaged and has only 6k supply. There still seem to be enemy minefields at Balikpapen.
There is no ASW effort. Well, maybe one squadron of Petes somewhere.
I am woefully short of AKEs, AS, ARs, ACMS, AVs and I am bleeding losses from low garrisons all over the place.
I will put up shots of the theaters later but there isn't much to see. It is quite distressing and I have reached my limit for now.
My rough plan: Economy, Rest and Reorganize. I think my opponent will be very aggressive in Java so I will try to ultimately use that against him...and I need to understand unrealistic R&D.
The few political points I have will be used in changing leaders...I have some real winners in some of the fighter squadrons. 25 air...jeesh.

Looks like you could do with more Vehicle production and you may as well provide it by converting Armament factories as you have an impressive stockpile of armaments. Something like converting 100 factories (if supply is available).
What is the supply situation like?
Is engine production okay or has he over expanded the R&D factories?

Here is the engine production for 31-35. Less than 10 in pool for all but the 31. I will put some tracker posts up later...

No, definitely a person. My mind rebels at all the fragments, the utter chaos, that resulted from looking for a big win and ignoring everything else.

Major Capital ships lost, doesn't look too bad, but the IJN has lost lots of ships. British Carrier losses might provide some opportunities.

Well, this should be fun to put back together. No pressure at least. If you can get what you need in the DEI and get production, oil/fuel shipments and other logistical details back in order, you should be alright.
Good luck!

I took over a game back in the WitP days. It was nothing like as messy as this but it was still a lot of fun sorting things out.

Here are some monster air units. I doubt they could have fit on the cvls....

I will be returning them to the pools...nothing quite like 100 obsolete planes on the front lines using up air capacity, supplies and support.

On ship losses, further examination shows about 100 of my losses have come courtesy of the 1000 bomb and another 20 or so with the 500 pounder. All over the place including the DEI and IO.
10-15 mine losses...hit the destroyers hard.

Why not keep them around as training groups?
