Being Chickenboy's other opponent, I'll be in the same boat as you soon. I think he's refining your test game to really put the screws to me in our match. He's definitely going for Auto-victory in our PBEM as well.

Base VP's are empty VP's to Andre, he likes to kill things. Don't let him kill things and he will get frustrated and look to kill things, then you can bushwhack him. That's my theory anyway. [:D]

Playing the Allies we just have to remember that sometimes in 42 we're gong to feel a little bit too much like Henery the Hawk.

Seriously I might use the northern approach if he's deployed south even if it is something along the lines of a recon in force or a feint. Attack from Alaska to Kamchatka & Shakhalin towards Hokkaido there's a couple of good sized bases that can be built on to springboard from. It'll definitely give him something to think about. If he does nothing you can go a step further towards getting bombers in range of the HIs and he may end up doing something by mistake to trigger the Soviet activation

Here's a random thought; a desparate Allied player would follow the seemingly "easiest" path and approach Hokkaido from Alaska. Seems like a shorter, more direct way to victory. But that could be the feint, while the real offensive is somewhere that has maybe not the best terrain or seems like the longest stretch (say Burma, or up New Guinea)?
