In Progress Massive Mod.

Commander - The Great War is the latest release in the popular and playable Commander series of historical strategy games. Gamers will enjoy a huge hex based campaign map that stretches from the USA in the west, Africa and Arabia to the south, Scandinavia to the north and the Urals to the east on a new engine that is more efficient and fully supports widescreen resolutions.

Hey Kirk,

That symbol in the lower left-hand corner of the convoy SS, I do not ever remember seeing that in my MP matches. Is it something that is only used in SP?

What about playing MP? If you have the mods downloaded, can you play others that do not...not with the mods in effect. Or will these mods limit the universe of available players?

I believe you will not have to download the MOD if it is presented with the scenario list of choices. You would be able to pick the MOD the same way you pick scenarios the way you do now, or it maybe this: You download the MOD, "then" it would be added to your in-game scenario list, then pick a side you wish to play in either SP or MP. The way Kirk had set up a MOD previously (Eastern Front MOD) made it real easy to access. Of course it would have to get the blessings of the owner to do so. I'm sure when the MOD is completed Kirk will explain what to do. Kirk's MOD already has the appearance of being fantastic..[:)]

This looks awesome, can I manage to wait until it is ready before I start any new games?

If any help is needed testing this, I am reasonably good with code and should be able to make it work on my PC.

Infantry Mortar in game description. The game designers may feel that they have taken the game as far as they can, but I'm not in this for financial gain, I want to take this superb game on to another level, so watch this space many more new Research Tech are in development, I'm far from finished with this project I can assure you of that, this game a has a very bright future.[:)]

Hi Bob,
Not a the moment the tech is only in the game because mines were used a lot during the war, something that the game a present does not mention, mines were a huge problem during the first world war.

I'm multi-tasking at the moment, I have been working on improving my huge WAR PLAN ORANGE scenario Pandora's box which I completed earlier this week, If interested there is a new download link for it over at the War Plan Orange forum.
I'm also deep into testing a new scenario for Strategic Command WW1 Breakthrough which should be ready for uploading some time next week all going well.[:D]

Kirk,

Something to consider: How about making Capitals forts also, or have permanent fortifications (entrenchments) of some sort in or around Capitals. Maybe not all Capitals, perhaps some.
