2.0.11.2 Open Beta Released!!!

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Harry, interesting...I am having that as well. I just start the game and during the opening screen the numlock at my laptop keyboard light up. I just then turn it off. Capn, At the editor I see sometimes a ghost unit. I Just click on it and it disappears. Nothing serious.

Weird. My numlock does too. I'll have to ask Rob about that. Might be one of the controls turning it on for some reason.

Mystery solved. The game does in fact turn the numlock on. That way you can use the number pad to move the map in various directions. You can turn it off and all appears to work fine. You just can move the map with the number pad. Learn something new everyday. [:D]

One question left:
Is it a bug act as a feature or a feature act as a bug.[:)]

I think I will go with it as a feature that might appear as a bug. [:D]

Hi

another saved games, not sure if a bug or a normal feature.
Sometimes in several scenario (here it happened in NM_WGS KG Rommel) my unit lost sight on enemy stack after some killing. In the saved games I'm sending you, my units are quite battered but it happend also in other scenario with friendly unit in full readiness.

Thanks a lot

Paolo

Paolo

Can you give additional info as to what the problem is. I watched both of your saved game and I don't know what the problem you reporting. A more detailed descriptions and the hex numbers and units involved would be helpful. Thanks.

Paolo, I looked over your issue with the vanishing units and it looks like a valid set of events. Across the water is a single AD gun system that only gets spotted by the leftmost Leo1 if the AD units fires. Same thing for the units adjacent to yours in the city. There is single unit in there on R&R. Not shooting so hard to see in the urban hex with a ton of wrecks. The high number of wrecks is masking another unit moving out of that hex. Bottom line is working as designed and intended.

Quick question, if I'm installing the 11.2 beta, and I move the jpg map files to the existing "Maps" folder, does that mean the game will default to using the new jpg's or do I have to remove the original png's from the folder first?

The game will look for the jpeg first and then the PNG in the maps folder.
