Looks very interesting [&o]. If you already have the background material ready, we could give it a try in TotH.
I see you always select tough opponents (Panzer Lehr & 559th PzJag Abt with Jagdpanthers) for your victims (er... I mean, players [:)]).

RE: Group Tigers on the Hunt - Official Information and AAR Thread
While I was researching the history of the 761st Tank Battalion I came across the 87th ID stuff and found their story pretty fascinating as well. The only thing with doing that as the theme is I really would like to have snow terrain in the game. Real snow, not just map recoloring.

RE: Group Tigers on the Hunt - Official Information and AAR Thread
Some information for my fellow company commanders: I made some tests setting up 10 ATRs and firing to the front/side/aspect of several Russian tanks ("hits" indicate non-penetrating hits).
T-34 M40 :
Front / Side / Rear: no effect at all (not surprisingly [;)]).
T-26 M33/39:
Front: 1 Shock, 8 hits / Side: 2 Shock, 2 Immobilised, 6 hits / Rear: 5 kills, 4 hits
BT-5:
Front: 1 kill, 1 Immobilised, 7 hits / Side: 3 kills, 2 Shock, 3 hits / Rear: 5 kills, 1 Immobilised, 3 hits
If I remember correctly, "Immobilised" result might also be a kill, while "Shock" is caused by a score 1 higher than required.

Yes they did, but it was mostly ineffective. I think they lost contact for good after one volley.I rolled really bad on your Activation checks, hardly any units got triggered but they did get some artillery iirc.

Well, since both of you (okiefire_ssl and UP844) won it'll be on to a June 26, 1941 'Pockets' mission, clearing up Russian resistance in the sector.
NOTE: Still working on writing up the final rules and trying to make a sheet to track information that commanders can use to record everything. Trying not to make it a massive undertaking though but my OCD is getting in the way.

That may help me. I just get completely immersed in the game and forget everything else. Next thing I know I'm in the last turns and have forgotten what just happened. [&:]

All right; I'll put the guys through some extra training (something makes me think we are not going to meet the 4577th Provisional People's Militia Regiment armed with forks and clubs [:D]).

I'll probably release the 1st Round missions sometime soon, maybe in the next 2 days or so once i get a few free minutes. Because of the GTotH format, none of them are 'balanced' and are not intended to be. They are also designed to be played as the Germans only.

To 'test' the function of my new 'Mission Briefing' form, I will be including these with the scenario files for the final round 3 missions. Hopefully they will be sufficiently user friendly and I will tweak them again after they are seen by at least another set of eyes. [:D]

Since no one else has stepped up to play the first mission for '1 CO/II BN/233 RGT/102 ID' I have uploaded it as a standalone scenario. You can find it in the Mods and Scenarios section in the thread named GTotH 1 CO/II BN/233 RGT/102 ID Mission # - Official.

GTotH Test Campaign 3rd and final Missions
UP844 and okiefire_ssl!
The Mission # 3 files for the GTotH Test Campaign are just about ready. This will be the FINAL mission of the campaign. For now we are proceeding with 2 and 3 Companies only. Briefing information will follow shortly.
Some changes for this last mission so I can tweak some stuff and test settings will be:
1. The DIFFICULTY setting for this last mission is to be set to "HARD".
2. The new fillable PDF Briefing and AAR .pdf form will be used. It's not complete as I am still working on what information to use and how to format it. Some things are editable, some not (basically if it has a light yellow background, it can be edited). This is intended to be a two way communication tool. It will provide the beginning mission and setup information and commanders can use it to refer to and make note of events from during the mission to save and report that back to me. If anyone has suggestions on what to add or is not needed, please feel free to let me know.
I will post the .txt file as before for each mission but this time, I will also attach your individual fillable PDF Briefing and AAR form.

Thanks for the feedback on the form.
Next, the Mission #3 files have been sent for both 2rd and 3rd Company Commanders so play them when you have time. As before, there is no rush. Now I get to take a break and finish up some scenario's I've been working on as well as get those GTotH rules finished up. [:D]
