I was unable to replicate the issue while playing "CCB into action": the M10 went berserk and killed almost all the German AFVs (both PzIV, 1 Pz V, the Puma and a couple halftrack all by itself - including both Panzers entering from the South in a single Defensive Fire [&o]=).
I the made a small test scenario, with a Puma and a Russian squad, placed outside its TCA, and I ran it several times: the AI-controlled Puma always rotated its turret and fired on my squad both in Prep Fire and in Defensive Fire (see image below).
It looks like this bug is not vehicle-specific. I have only seen this warning appear when an immobilised AI-controlled turretless AFV (such as a StuG) tries to fire at a target outside its VCA. In one of the previous versions, sometimes the IA entered a loop, repeatedly trying to fire outside is VCA. Even though if the Puma was immobilised, however, it should have been able to rotate its turret: I think the bug is associated with a specific set of circumstances that would be difficult to pinpoint. Do you remember where the Puma was firing?
