TF That Won't Stop Loading

Post by witpqs »

At Singapore I discovered a Transport TF that loaded troops and supplies in one turn, but also went past 100% loaded and just keeps on "Loading Supplies". I manually canceled loading of supplies and am waiting to see if that work around suffices.

Here is what the TF looks like. Save games follow in subsequent posts.

Here is a pre-end turn save when the TF was ordered to load.

Here is the pre-end turn save for the very next turn. The TF has already loaded the troops and supplies and gone past 100% to the load number that it will still have several days later. It is in state "Loading supplies".

Here is the save from the beginning of the turn before anything happened, before any orders were given that turn.

I think ships can overload if they are rescuing troops from a sunken ship - did any get sunk during loading?
Not even one of those 1/10000 events reported only in the Ops report where a fire or grounding takes out the ship?

Nah, nothing. And it stayed at the same loading level and never increased despite "Loading Supplies" for about 5 turns.

I have had this happen once or twice. I didn't bother to document it, and just clicked "Unload Troops/Cargo" and then set them to Do Not Unload to stop that unloading before it started, so that I could move them. Although in your screenshot, I don't see them as loading.

I might have been a little imprecise in my wording. Basically they were ordered to load (at the home port), with a destination already set (go there and unload), return to home port. They loaded just beyond 100% and sat there. After several more turns they did not move.

Also, it is possible that I took the screen shot after I jiggered the TF to get it to stop trying to load more, but Michael will see what is what in the save games.

Seems to be stuck on thinking it has room to load troops on two ships. There is a unique case here. Have added logic to the loading to see if the cargo/troop space is filled beyond what it thinks it can fit, and call that 'loading complete'.

Hey witpqs! Can you ID the two ships in question so we can superload them for our game!

I don't recall but they must be Fort class merchants. [;)]
