Here's what Manila looks like now. Brian has moved his defenders into three large groups and I need to tackle all three of them
at the same time so I'm going to need some more troops. The 11th Division finally reached Fusan so I'm going to get some AK's to
bring it to the PI. There's also some troops at Tokyo that can be moved. I've already used up those pre-positioned troops that
were easy to find and load on ships and now I'm having to search for more troops, some of them in the interior of China and Korea.
I haven't touched the troops facing the Soviet Union because several of my naval squadrons attacked some Soviet ships and now
Brian says he's going to pay me back some day. An attack is scheduled for some future turn he said. So I feel like I have to man
the lines in the east. I've gotten lucky and have gotten the major oil centers except for Palembang, with the facilities intact and I'm
pulling fuel out of Miri already.
Brian has let loose those ships that were hiding at Manila and they are trying to escape to the south. Some of Brians ships have
troops on them. I sank an AP that was holding at least 4K troops just outside of Ternate. I guess they were headed for Darwin.
Which brings up another point. Should I grab the Celebes before Sumatra or vice versa? Java is on my list of course but I want
to hit the ends and work toward the middle in the group of islands I need to grab. Sumatra, Java, the Cebeles and all those
smaller islands north of Australia. I'm leaning toward pushing south toward Darwin first to prevent an escape to that port. I really
should position some ships south of Java to try to concentrate the Allied ships into the channel between Java and Borneo. I've
got a handful of subs working those waters and they have been productive so far.
Wake survives. I've been bombing it and I've landed some troops on the island and they survived the initial shock attack they
had to do but now they are too weak to make any headway against the stout American defenders. I need to bombard them with
the BB's some more.
