As someone who was quite happy he got the job I am still staggered by the stupidity, naivety and greed of the man...
He was so made up - like a little boy - when he got the job. Apart from reaching the pinnacle of his profession - managing the England team - he was getting £3m per annum plus bonuses for doing so. Yet he decides to throw it all away by getting involved in some grubby deal to earn a bit more wonga. Madness.
Angry, sad, depressed - I don't know which is the stronger emotion at the moment [&:]
agree - seems the Telegraph has material on 6-8 other managers with a taste for a bit of extra earning to supplement their salaries when they set up transfers.
more pleasantly, good result by Spurs last night but CSKA's performance did indicate that Russian football is in a bad state (in effect their performance in the Euros was not a fluke or accident)?

Yes - a good result in an intimidating atmosphere. But as you say the state of Russian football means that we should not get too excited.
Tottenham still worry me - we are not fast enough, do not seek the incisive pass. On the odd occasion we actually we do, we show what we can do - that goal was worthy of the German national team. Alderweirald with an incisive, accurate forward pass along the ground to Lamela that by-passed the Russian midfield and (for once) Lamela did the right thing and made a beautiful pass to allow Son's excellent run behind the defence to be rewarded with a goal. We need more of that and less side to side slow...slow...side [>:]
For a side that consistently has so much possession we find scoring goals soooo difficult. And what is it with our centre forwards??? Soldado was an expensive dud and Janssen (admittedly a better
footballer) is showing signs of going the same way... Let's hope Pochettino gives him some proper game time to see if he can get going.
Also whenever Tottenham score we always seem to lose our heads, suddenly forget how to pass and retain possession and gift the opposition a chance to get back in the game. Strange.
But some positives - I thought N'Koudou was quality last night and Harry Winks (how old is he - shouldn't he be in school?) while he didn't do anything special, he was assured on the ball and didn't do anything stoopid.
