Its 11MB and requires adobe acrobat to view www.acrobat.com
The manual issue is a tough one. We are planning to offer printed manuals with our full games, but may make it optional. What do you think? It raises the game cost to give everyone a printed manaul, or keep the price a bit lower and let folks buy a printed manual as a seperate thing? But that makes the manuals more expensive...whaddaya think?

Downloaded fine looks good if we are voting i say put a printed manual in everybox and charge what the market will bear this is a 239 page manual a 'Book" actually and probably it will become a part of Wargaming History, and where can i get mine autographed ( ya'll need to have autographed versions and charge double )
"For Americans war is almost all of the time a nuisance, and military skill is a luxury like Mah-jongg. But when the issue is brought home to them, war becomes as important, for the necessary periods, as business or sport. And it is hard to decide which
I think it is a good idea to offer the manual separately, how about adding some tips and pointers, make it like a strategy guide from the developer.Originally posted by Paul Vebber:

I'll offer a compromise, why not a book showing ALL the units and their stats, but leaving all instructional material in the game? The instructions are much easier to find online, where you can do searches, and I would rather have what I'm thinking has become almost an extreme extra in this day and age, that being printed copy of unit stats. Thanks.

Downloaded just fine, excellent reading. However the pictures are very dark and undistinguishable, tried printing (HP 697C)and the qualtity is not really any better. If your not going to print a manual, is there a way for me to print without the pictures. I really would prefer that you to print a manual with the pictures, that can be purchased. Barring that, any sugestions? Thanks!

Also, the "SPWAW Map Editor" (Map secrets) section, is still a work in progress and there are some errors (terrain heights f.e -- can be much higher...), but should give some first insights to what can be done with Freds excellent Editor! (at least for non "Grenadier" kind of designers..
)
Much more will follow soon!

a note from the *other* brent - haha
DL'ed the manual and have read/skimmed most of it. Excellent! I haven't been as excited to try a game out since I opened the boxes for the ASL addons in the car and flipped through the new rules...
298mb of ver 4.5 so far!
Wargames can be like Coke/Pepsi, people tend to be very loyal to their favorite ( I have played nothing but Close Combat in all its variations for the last ? years ), but my interest has definately been piqued.
and if Combat Leader has the same type of feature list as SPWAW, I am going to be a very happy wargamer...
Might even try a Diet Pepsi

I'm essentially graphically and history oriented, unfortunately to connect the two I have to do maths. I hate maths.
