Wow, I wish I could do something like this - it is both a great history lesson and very interesting to see how you fight the battle. Well done!

AM – July17, 1943 (T16)

7th Army Overview

Supply - Taking Palermo is a do or die situation for the 3rd Inf. Division and 2nd Arm. Division.
They are running very low on supplies and receiving no real help from the supply system.

I am enjoying your publication immensely. With your permission I'd
like to try out some of your style in my AAR(s) and see if you and
I can't raise the production values for this section of the forum.
I'm curious as to what brand of graphical software you're using
because the most I've graduated to is Paint.Net and that only
for the PNG files. I'm still using mostly MSPaint.

Larry I enjoy trying to put the story together. I use power point to build the slides including “the posting verbiage”. Then I copy the graphics into a paint just to make it into a jpeg. I then copy the verbiage part into the posting and upload the jpeg. I use power point because I am very familiar with it back in my working days. Retired now.

So I look forward to seeing your AAR which I have been looking at since your original workshop for rookies.

I forgot to mention it does take time. I think I could of played this scenario twice by now. But like I said I enjoy the history component as well.

Power point is the tool of the times, good for you. I'm glad you're retired as well. All
I do all day is play games and read AARs. I'm having a blast. I think I forgot to eat
lunch I was so absorbed.

I hope you got something out of that workshop product. I had fun putting it together and
hope to continue that kind of thing again in the future.

Thank you for investing the time and effort to produce good stuff. It's appreciated muchly.

PM – July18, 1943 (T19) round 2

8th Army Overview

No change in orders.

Note: In my game, 1st Cdn Division could probably push north on the west side of Mt. Etna since they have encountered no resistance.
I have held back for now wanting to coincide a little better with historical outcome (see inset map).
I think many of the units they would have faced are locked in a battle with US 1st Div.
