While in the south, the city of Kweilin got captured by the Japanese troops, who exacted a terrible revenge on the cities population. Japanese mountain troops close the Birma road.

After the next couple of impulses, the weather has become worse. The Japanese Imperial High Command gets reports of Chinese Communist units moving in the north...

The orders for Heeresgruppe Nord are quite simpel: keep the enemy busy and advance slowly if you can. Rommel and Von Leeb have clear orders: "don't take unnecessary risks, but keep on looking for opportunities to attack".

In the rain from last turn, the Luftwaffe Fighter pilots did prove their superiority over their Soviets counterparts. In dog fights, two Soviet FTR's were destroyed, together with the pilots, with no losses on the German Luftwaffe. This means that the Luftwaffe now has air superiority, even with a lot of Soviet bomber squadrons still standing by...
During this air-to-air combat, using the latest beta test version given to us by Steve, we ran into a serious bug again, forcing us to simulate the result using debug tools. The bugs in air-to-air combat keep appearing again and again. And for as long as air-to-air combat give these kind of bugs, there isn't going to be a patch, I think. But don't worry, we'll continue to send Steve bug reports so he can look into things and make the necessary repairs. Some day, we will succeed...

Seriously though, I too have confidence that we'll get there some day. [8D]I must say that's a bit disappointing. I'm currently running a hybrid between 2.8.4 & 2.7.0. Everything but carrier air battles seem to be working very well, especially convoys and resource routing, in 2.8.4. The only big show stopper for me is when the game freezes when CVP's are returning to their carriers during naval air combat. So, I use 2.7.0 to fight these battles. I've found that this version is the best latest version for fighting naval air. For everything else wrt/solo play 2.8.4 is, in my opinion, superior. And when it comes to convoys and production 2.8.4 is vastly superior to all the previous versions. Again, in my opinion.ORIGINAL: Centuur

Of course, when the weather clears in the Arctic, turn ends before the Wehrmacht can exploit this...

At start of the M/J 1941 the weather is very, very bad. But there's one upside to the weather roll: 80% chance of fine weather next impulse. So I've decided to see if I could sink some British convoys and let the Kriegsmarine sail. However, no luck on my end. Search rolls were all but good...
