INVADED
Katherine, Changsha, Sian are invested.
CHANGED OWNERSHIP
Overall
• No carrier sightings.
• Damn.
Previous report of sinking of CL Kashima incorrect. Intelligence reports ship is still in service
• More convoy traffic in the Cantankerous Olfactory area.
• A good day for arrivals: BB North Carolina; CA Quincy; 3rd USMC Division; some smaller units.
• We spent hundreds of PP today buying out bomber squadrons the US which 1) do not withdraw, and 2) will expand size in August. Doing it now should save us a few hundred points compared to buying them out little by little after they expand. That plus replacing various USN ships' captains has consumed almost all our accumulated PP.
West Coast USA, Alaska, Hawaii
• Enemy sub activity near Pearl Harbor, 12 hexes SW PH (by ASW TF pursuing), Lihue. So there are at least two different sub TF's hunting and conducting surveillance near the Hawaiian Islands. 7 new ASW TF's (3x DD each) have formed to find the Imperials, all with recently upgraded destroyers!
• All convoys report no contacts.
Pacific
• Enemy sub activity near Nanumea, Pago Pago, Vaitupu
• I think it's the aiming equipment.

• Finally we see another Imperial ground unit (courtesy RDF), but not where we expect. An unidentified formation is on the road 3 hexes east of Nookanbah. Best guess is yet another reinforcement while other units are farther ahead but yet to be seen.
• The same supply problems pertain.
• Probably in two days the 8th Cav Recce Rgt will get to Katherine. With Exp 70 they will attack the enemy unit along with the Exp 35 armoured unit.
• All convoys report no contacts.
• In the coming days - weather dependent - we will transfer several squadrons of B-17's from Hawaii to Australia. In Hawaii they serve a defensive purpose which is surplus at the moment; the Marshall Islands bases will not be able to support them for a long time even if all goes well; in Australia they will be boost our striking power against the invaders significantly; they will increase our ability to attrite the Empire's deployed carrier fighter squadrons; they will possibly signal to the Empire an increased commitment on our part in Australia. In three hops they will be in Cloncurry (Pago Pago > Brisbane > Cloncurry) but weather over Pago Pago prevents them departing Pearl Harbor today.

• I'm guessing this was an armour-only assault with all units adding their artillery for bombardment.
